A few months ago, I started work on a visual index of Samus Aran; lost steam, then came back to it the other night. As usual, out of order because either tumblr or Chrome won’t cooperate; full image here. I do apologize if there’s any Samuses I didn’t find.
Like everyone I’ve compiled indices on thus far, Samus’s early looks were weird and varied.
A visual index of Megaman (Classic Megaman and direct derivatives, at least). The photoset's out of order because if I try to rearrange it, tumblr shits itself; here's the Photobucket link. (Note that I split this in half before I'd realized that I'd forgotten to write my signature on it; the full version is the corrected one.)
As usual, disclaimer that there may be something that slipped under my radar. Archie!Megaman is absent because his armoured form has no significant changes in design.
(PhotoBucket link for Z1/AoL/other)
tumblr stop crashing when i try to rearrange the pics Visual indexes of the Zeldas from the first three games, plus other continuities. (Note: technically, every bit of non-game media that wasn't a one-off thing like that jigsaw puzzle would count as an alternate continuity)
I think all of the Zelda variants like this dropped off after Ocarina of Time and wider availability of official art; bit of a bummer, since tracking those down is part of what I live for. Still, that's a pretty wide range of Zeldas up there.
And before anyone questions why I included the CD-i games: Nintendo may ignore them, but they still happened and are still part of series history.
The Brazilian Megaman comic, fascinating though it may be (to me and precisely no one else), isn't what I'd call "consistent". As a result, Roll ended up with a metric ton of outfits.
Here's an alternate Photobucket link in case tumblr squashes this down.
As you can see, Roll got stripped near-nude in the last few issues (she technically had armour in the form of some suggestive metal things on her breasts and a pathetic metal thong). There's still variations in her hairstyle and buster, so I cropped those images accordingly.
An index of Classic Amys (plus one Adventure) that I compiled out of boredom. Probably not complete, as there's bound to be stuff like in-house magazine art that I missed, but hey.
