I read today that Oktoberfest in Germany has been cancelled as a precaution due to what is happening right now in the world. I’m sure there will be a lot of glum faces as a result but of course the precaution is for the good of the people. My sister and I visited back in 2015 after a whirlwind trek through Europe. We concluded our journey with one of the biggest celebrations in the world. Parades, beer halls, German eats, and cultural costumes aplenty and it was certainly an amazing time.
