Well hello! Today we are going to talk about visualization while meditating because it was something that nearly killed me while trying to learn because of the lack of posts? I guess now they do exist, but before it was not that easy.
What is meditation?
“There are different ways to meditate, and since it’s such a personal practice there are probably more than any of us know about. There are a couple that are usually focused on heavily in scientific research, though. These are focused-attention, or mindful meditation, which is where you focus on one specific thing—it could be your breathing, a sensation in your body or a particular object outside of you. The point of this type of meditation is to focus strongly on one point and continually bring your attention back to that focal point when it wanders.” - Buffer blog (link of the page is here)

Problems you might have while meditating and visualizing
I don’t know you but at first i struggled so much with meditation, and i still do. I think most of us die a little when we have to meditate because it’s hard. But when you already know wtf you are doing is way easier.
Now the heard part is named visualizing while meditating (or at lest is hard for me xd). I personally struggle so much visualizing while meditating, I just can’t see what i need to see, and apparently more people feel the same.
Sometimes when I do visualize, i just don’t see what i need to see... and that’s a problem for me.
Alternatives for when you can’t visualize.
This is a personal opinion alright? I think that you don’t need to strictly see it in a really clear way, you could feel like you’re there, or smell it. We have multiple senses, not just the view.
When you don’t see what you want, maybe is because it’s not your time to see it, maybe you should wait a little more. Patience/practice makes perfect and the student becomes the master someday.

Just how to Visualize
On this article we are going to talk about how to visualize the right way.
Virtually everyone that is talking about the Law of Attraction concurs that visualization is an important part of the development procedure.
We’re told that in order to produce what we desire, in order to associate its regularity, we have to visualize what it is that we want.
The even more plainly we…
Visualization is a tool or technique used in witchcraft to help focus on your intent. It is using your imagination, senses and mind to create images or words within your head to aid in your witchcraft. It is heavily used in energy work to help you feel the flow of energy by also imagining it bright and colorful in your head.
Every witch and person visualizes differently, there is no wrong or right way to do it. Some people may do it more ‘fantastical’ than others with more lights, glitter and glow in their minds but that does not mean only certain people can use it. In fact most everyone already uses it.You use visualization whenever you are thinking about a memory or telling a story, daydream or dream, thinking through scenarios (like happy events you want to happen), when making mental lists, and when thinking about solutions to things such as what you wish to eat or when you are going to water your plants. All of that is visualization!
How can I strengthen my visualization for witchcraft though?
Practice makes perfect, just like with everything! Practicing visualization exercises can help you feel more “witchy” when doing magic. Here are some simple types of visualization exercises you can do to help improve your own ‘vividness’ of visualization:
Color Exercise
Close your eyes, and think about a color (or if you have another there with you have them say a color outloud). What do you think of once this color enters your mind? Do you think of something that is that color? Do you think of the word itself? Do you see the color in your mind? Take notes on this. Continue through a few more colors. With each color, try to visualize more about it.
After some practice at this try to visualize the word of a color and in your mind change the text of that word into the color. Then think of as many objects, eyes still closed, that are that color. Do this before spells and rituals to help with visualization, and soon you won’t need to do it as much anymore!
What’s in My Pantry?
This exercise is very simple. Close your eyes and think about every food item, herb or anything else that you have in your pantry (or kitchen). As you think of an item see if you can imagine it in your head. For example when thinking of an apple can you see it shape? How red it is and the slight shine to it?
After some time or attempts at this (its fine if it is over a span of a few days), can you begin to imagine more about those food items? Can you visualize cutting that apple and the crisp sound it makes? Can you imagine a tree full of apples and someone picking them and putting them into a basket? Continue this exercise just like the color one before spellwork and rituals to help warm up your mind.
Silly Sentence
This one is more of an imagination exercise but still can help with visualization quite a bit. Get a piece of paper and something to write with then find a random word generator online (very easy to do they are literally everywhere). Now generate three words, it doesn’t matter what they are. Once you have them write them at the top of your page. Now using those words write a sentence using them all.
Example:
My randomly generated words: CHUNKY RECORD LIMITLESS
“In the record, it says that the amount of chunky peanut butter in the world is limitless.”
It’s silly, it makes little sense but it is a proper coherent sentence. Do this exercise a few times with different words. Each word you get, think about how it is used and how it can relate to the other words. Over time this will get easier and easier, add more words to the exercise until you can do it with ease.
Wacky Wild Animals
Like the previous exercise find a random animal generator online. Generate a random animal. Some generators may even give you pictures with the random animal. Once you get your animal close your eyes and think about what it looks like.
For my example we will be using a Deer.
Imagine that deer, now what do deer usually do? Graze in the grass and walk through the woods. Can you imagine this in your mind? Think about how a deer normally. Doesn’t matter if you imagining this deer like a realistic sense or animated, just as long as it is deer. You got that image of a deer in your head? Now think of that deer suddenly blue! What does a blue deer look like? Not only is this deer blue it now has a bird’s nest in its antlers. Can you picture this?
Continue making your animal more and more ‘wacky’. Add accessories to it, change how it walks and stands, change its location and behavior. Keep up this exercise until you have a very wacky animal. Again, a good exercise to do before spells and ritual work.
These exercises should help you get the hang of visualization. As you practice you will find it will get easier and you can start visualizing things more intensely. Don’t get frustrated if you can’t do it immediately, it is harder for some than others. That is okay. Just keep up the practice! You can do it! Good luck everyone~~
Sometimes I feel a slight tugging on my body. Not my physical body. The invisible body inside my physical body. My soul. It’s sort of a sickening feeling, but I’ve gotten used to it by now. This was how he let me know he wanted to see me – a gentle, playful pull. I could feel it now, too. I laugh to myself, close my eyes, and begin to visualize.
I am sitting in a flat field, surrounded by clover. Trees by the dozens grow out of the ground in front of me. Soon, I find myself sitting in front of the start of a thick forest. I stand up and start toward the trees, slipping into the dark shadows between them.
Fireflies greet me and help light my way forward. Even with the forest looking so seemingly dark and dangerous, I don’t worry about getting lost. I know where I am going.
I keep walking, ducking under branches and vines, until I come to a small cobblestone bridge. At the other side of the bridge stand three massive oak trees, all close enough together to almost be mistaken as one giant tree. Vines wrap around the trunks of the trees, almost entirely covering the two small glass windows in the wood. I can see a soft glow coming from inside and can hear a muted, gentle music through the bark. I draw closer and put my hand on the door knob in front of me. It feels surprisingly warm in my hand.
I swing open the door and am met with beautiful sounding music, the warm glow of a crackling fire, and the smell of sweet spices. Out of the shadows, a hand reaches out to me.
“May I have this dance?”
I look up, following the outstretched arm to find a half-bowed satyr in front of me.
“Hi, Cass,” I laugh, slipping my hand into his. “It would be my pleasure.”
He draws me closer, placing his other hand firmly on the small of my back. He begins to lead me around the room, and I match his movements accordingly. Everything feels so easy and natural. It has been so long since I’ve danced like this with anyone.
I look up into his eyes; they are a deep emerald green, perfectly framed by soft curls of his chestnut hair. Freckles decorate his face, and his smile is gentle and inviting. The rough horns that grow from his head spiral backwards into his hair. A crown fashioned from ivy adorns them and directs my attention to the rest of his attire. He’s wearing a beautiful vest made of ivy and flowers. Through the woven vines and petals, I can see the soft skin on his chest. My thoughts linger on this, imagining what it would feel like to have his bare skin on mine. A tingling sensation quickly spreads throughout my body.
“Do you like it?” Cass asks, interrupting my train of thought. The glimmer in his eyes tells me he knows exactly what I was thinking.
I blush and look away sheepishly.
“The vest, I mean. I had a few friends help me make it for this very occasion,” He clarifies, saving me from my embarrassment.
“Oh,” I laughed, “Yes, it’s really beautiful.”
He grins. “I actually had them make something for you, as well,” He breaks away and disappears into the shadows. A moment later, he returns holding one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. The corset matched his vest, made of woven ivy and colorful flowers. The length of the dress appeared to be made of giant white daisy petals. I squeal with delight and run off into the side room to slip it on. It’s a perfect fit.
I step back out into the main room to show it off, doing a big twirl and watching the petals float back down. I look up at Cass to find him staring at me in awe.
“It’s beautiful,” he says after regaining his composure. “You’re beautiful.”
I blush again; the way he was looking at me made my heart race. I feel it hasten even more as he moves closer to me. He pulls a crown from behind his back and, with a grin, places it gently on my head. It matches the one he is wearing, made of beautiful ivy and gold. I smile back up at him. Before I have any time to react further, He whisks me away, twirling me around the room.
As we dance, flames jump from the fireplace and begin to dance around us. I look up into Cass’s eyes and see a flicker of fire in them, as well. Is this a mere reflection of the flames around us? Or perhaps something different? His hand leaves mine and moves to brush the hair from my cheek. His thumb slowly traces the curve of my jaw and stops at my chin. With his touch, I feel myself begin to melt into him. He lifts my chin and bends to bring his face to mine. His hot breath smells sweet, to me. His kiss is gentle, but within it I detect a deep, insatiable hunger. Our faces linger, the two of us breathing in each other’s breath. After a moment, he pulls me close and buries his face in my hair. I place a gentle kiss on his neck and nuzzle into him. I take time to memorize his scent – a blend of earth, moss, and mulled cider.
We hold each other like this for some time, still slowly moving about the room. Eventually the fire dies down and the music slows. We retire to the assortment of comfortable cushions in front of the fireplace. I cuddle into Cass as he plays with my hair and hums a lullaby. The tune sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can’t place it.
“I’m glad you came,” Cass said. “It’s been too long.”
I felt a twinge of guilt.
“I know,” I said, giving Cass an apologetic half-smile. “I don’t mean to be gone so much. You know how things have been lately. Work, depression, stress… it’s no excuse though. I really am sorry.”
“I know, love. Don’t worry about it too much,” he replies, stroking my cheek. “It’s just… You are my queen, and this… this, all around us, is our kingdom. I need your help to rule it. I need you here…”
I know exactly what he means. I have been away for far too long, and we still have a good deal of getting to know each other to do. Our relationship can’t grow if I’m always gone.
“I promise, Cass. Right here and now, I promise I’ll make more efforts to visit. To be there for you when you need me. You’re so good to me. I promise to be good to you, too.”
Cass smiled and pulled me into him.
“I know you will.”
(Shout out to Cass for being awesome and helping me stay focused enough to write this all down xD He’s such a sweetheart <3)
