Ideas expressed visually as well as verbally can be understood by more people. 50% of people are visual learners. 40% of people are auditory learners. 10% of people are kinaesthetic learners (like me.) For visual learners: Provide a visual model for an idea. This Venn diagram is an example. You can look at the circles and words and understand the concept. For auditory learners, explain your idea verbally. ‘A Venn diagram is made with two or more circles, with abstract concepts inside each circle. You can add additional concepts in the overlaps of the circles, to demonstrate how they overlap metaphorically.’ So how do you express ideas for kinaesthetic learners? Ask them to draw the circles. ‘Draw 2 circles so they partially overlap. Write “Circles” in one, and “Diagrams” in the other. In the overlap between them, write “Venn Diagrams.”’ Teaching your ideas for all 3 types of learners will help ensure that everyone understands you. #venndiagram #visualmodel #metaphoricallyspeaking #instructionaldesign #thoughtleadership #visuallearning https://www.instagram.com/p/CItOutahYOi/?igshid=ghv05z2psdqb
