Welcome Hyuna, an old OC, to the Visum universe. I was never sure if i wanted her to join, She was one of those OC’s that had a backstory that made it hard to add her to the compendium. However, because she joined us, we decided to throw her a big gala in her honor and gave her a beautiful dress for the occasion. Hyuna is quite the introvert so we took it slow for the night. She, despite all this, really seemed to be having a good time. She really came out of her shell. You can look forward to her in a future series on: www.visummedium.net

Visum Crossed out EP1

Hey all its Jake.

Welcome to the first installment of Visum crossed out. In this series i will be releasing Project ideas and story arcs that were scrapped because we either did not have enough time or it did not fit the story format.

(Please Note: all of these are rough draft ideas that may come back in the future.)

There is truly never enough time and space to make a serious Studio Time’s script. While it was a fun idea to have a very simple NY times style joke in a full page 5 - 6 Panel format. i truly wanted more from each character. Think rooster teeth animated meets a soap opera. The story arc that i loved the most and still want to see succeed in a similar fashion to this is Gale and Jake. Both these characters are a little at odds with each other, even through out the current series, and it is truly not that hard to see why. but I’m rambling now so lets get into the start of this arc.

Gale walks into the conference room, closing the door. She leans up against it with a heavy sigh.

Gale: “Thank Christ”

The room is crested with late sunlight. The meeting table, full of notes and debris.

Gale thinks to herself: “I'm sure Autumn will be fine.. just for a few minutes”

Gale goes to check her phone seeing the time is 4:45

Gale: “Humm”

Gale puts away her phone and walks over to the window where she looks out at the city below.

Gale sighs closing the blinds.

A Clicking sound and coughing comes from the other side of the room breaking the silence

Gale turns around at first shocked

Gale goes to investigate

*move the camera to in front of Jake under the conference table, in the background show Gale approaching the sound.*

(Jake looks disheveled and upset, With a blunt in his mouth, looking at a photograph with tear stains and bags under his eyes)

Gale sits on the table spinning around and hanging her feet down in front of him

(a couple of notes could slide onto the ground.)

Jake is frightened and jumps up bashing his head in into the table and dropping his smoke into his lap and the photo on the floor

Gale taps her fingers along the top of the table holding a face that is very unamused and stern

Jake rubs the back of his head in pain.

Gale: “And what do you think you’re doing Mr Green?

Jake coughs uncontrollably

In between coughs Jake responds: “Don’t... Scare... me... like”

Jake sputters as the hand rolled blunt burns away at his clothes and hits skin

Jake: “YE-OUCH!”

Jake throws it forward jumping and hitting his head against the table again.

Gale looks down at the blunt and sighs

Gale jumps of the table and brings her foot down on the Blunt, Snuffing it out

Gale looks down at the now in pain Jake, as he holds his head rocking back and forth.

Gale: “Mr. green that is highly unprofessional in the work place!”

Jake groans: “No one is working in here though”

Gale folds her arms and taps her foot

Gale: “Do not get smart with me”

Gale: “Smoking is prohibited in the building that includes the whole office!”

Jake: “its my office though!”

Jake scrambles off the floor and stands up brushing himself off.

Jake: “Besides we are about to close, it wont effect work”

Gale unfolds her arms and rolls her eyes

Gale: “Open a window, Get some water”

Gale looks Jake straight in the eyes

Gale: “and for the love of god get some fresh air.”

Jake wipes his face and hangs his head

Jake “Yes ma’am”

Jake walks over to the window and throws it open

Gale lifts her foot and bends down to pick up the blunt

Gale notices the photograph Jake was looking at

*Its an image of Jake and Autumn looking at the camera both look really happy as they hold each other lovingly*

Gale grabs the photo and instinctually tries to rip it up.

Gale looks at the image however and stops leaving only a rip at the top of the photo.

Gale grabs the blunt and walks over to Jake

*camera shows both of them from a fixed position looking out the window*

Gale flicks the blunt out the window making sure Jake watches

Gale: “If i catch you doing that again i will not be as forgiving”

Jake hangs his head: “Yes Ma’am”

Gales turns to Jake and hands him the photo upside down

Gale: “And i believe this belongs to you sir”

Jake grabs it, face going red and flustered

Jake begins blabbering: “I'm so sorry i know the cour”

Gale turns around cutting him off

Gale: “Like i said Mr green it belongs to you”

Gale says more quietly: “And only you”

Gale walks to the door and looks back at the Jake empathetically

Gale: “Get some rest Mr. Green, I will see you tomorrow”

Dev Update 8/13/20

Hey all, Jake here.

Got some really interesting news development and impression wise.

(Visum Project Status)

Since we are revamping the script and characters in Bayview episode 1 issue 4-5. We needed the extra day we would spend making Studio Time's for Bayview. I and many others agreed, having 12 studio times on the website to read is enough while we pump this next issue out.If you want to see what we have so far, check it out at: (https://visummedium.net/home/adventures/studio-times/)

(New Novel)

Thanks to that previous script i wrote and posted here; Gale and i will be teaming up to write a novel related to some of the characters in studio times. This will let us truly go in a serious direction with the story as most of studio time’s up till now has been simple gags and low brow humor. I wanted so much more but was limited by the 1 page format. Hopefully this will show the characters are more than just punchline archetypes. More details coming soon.

(3D models, Details, and First impressions)

We have some new 3D models made because of the current revamp. I can not show you those yet but i can show you some hair designs we might use and the first version of the Requiem from late 2019 (down below) Looking back through Issue 1-3 you might notice what it is that needed fixing and how we plan to fix it in future issues.

Its no surprise to anybody who knows me personally that i love symbolism and secrets hidden in plain sight. When a story makes me really think about what has been shown to me on multiple levels i get that rush of dopamine; like i just figured out some big puzzle. Its even better when the author does not even talk about these details, like i was able to put 2 and 2 together. When going through film 101 i really enjoyed the dramatic presentation of Chekhov's gun:

I felt this concept really summed up what i personally loved to get out of movies. but obviously if i am talking about it, you know that's not the case for the people who have seen it so far.

It shocked me to know first impressions were VERY mixed as most saw the little details as just random or did not see them at all. Let me be clear, everything in the story is deliberately presented and i even felt when writing/designing; i might be a little too expository or in your face. When using a visual medium of any kind; its always good to put points of interest in places that your audience will notice them. You are using a visual medium after all so you want people to engage and enjoy what they are looking at. if it was just a literary medium you would have to explain whats going on in engaging detail. I will not fault anyone for seeing something different as that is what art is all about! ^u^ I will instead take this as a learning experience and continue to do what i do. however i felt it needed to be said somewhere that nothing is random.

I believe that about covers everything, I’m really excited for the upcoming issues and i hope you all enjoy them as much as we do.

Dev Update Bayview: The Storyboard for issue 4 has hit the cutting room floor. So far we are at 26 pages. We plan to start sketching ASAP. Might add more to the end and i know for a fact I am rewriting issue 5 (again) @-@ Sooooo excited.
