Gardy sighed to himself, curled into a ball, shivering from the rain and cold, his eyes closed in regret. All he wanted was a nice, relaxing trip to the beach. One of those "day-cations," as they're sometimes called. Yet his visions of sunny heaven quickly turned into a reality of rainy hell, and he was now trapped in a small alcove underneath the cliffs, the only bit of shelter near the beach. Around him, the rain came down in near-solid sheets, drenching the sand and rocks. A flimsy beach umbrella Gardy had bought two hours ago had been destroyed in an instant, no match for the storm. Too scared to brave the rain again, and too exhausted to teleport, all Gardy could really do was try to recover some energy and hope the storm passed soon. Still keeping his eyes closed, he repeatedly cast Calm Mind to ease his worried thoughts.
Once his mind was peaceful again, he opened his eyes and looked around the beach. No sign of life anywhere, no other beachgoers, nothing in the sea, except... on the horizon, the Gardevoir could make out a massive blue Pokemon slowly approaching the shore.
