pinata-archive-paradise got bigger!
hello! it's been a while, i've not updated in a while but got a big happy news
the whole blog (at least all the pinatas part, i need to still manage and code villagers ecc) got transfered already on neocities! :D
i've started to host my personal website (theglittersalamango.neocities.org) there almost a year ago (anniversary is 4 september) and thinked that trasfering all the content into a categorized archive into my already existing viva pinata shrine (fan sub-site?) worked better than broken tags, photo limit and limited customization, so i'm using tumblr for host the photos
does the blog will close or stop getting updates? nope! actually want to upload a lot new stuff i've had lying around in my phone folders and focusing even on the cartoon side of viva pinata more (even if i'm trying to cut using socials the most possible) and adding the already missing infos, all by transfering everything on the site too at the same time, might create an rss feed for updates when learn how to do it
if want to have a look on the archive the link is: https://theglittersalamango.neocities.org/viva-pinata/archive/archive.html :3
for now most of site is optimized for both mobile and computer, but can maybe look broken on non webkit based browsers (firefox, safari ecc) because tested just webkit compatible browsers and i use vivaldi browser as default but adding prefixes in the code might fix the problems on the broken parts
if website have any problems just dm on tumblr or write in my neocities profile comment section and i'm gonna fix the code fast (aside javascript still need to learn that ;u;)

an update of yesterday blender viva pinata post
after this decided to actually turn jeffe chocolate coin mesh made in blender in a sims object with the help of another youtube tutorial switching between youtube sims 4 studio and blender for some hours
i've used yoda statue model and didnt taken in consideration that the shadow would still be yoda as a total newbie and noticed just when the game was running taken with phone so now the coin have yoda ominous shadow, might fix later when learn how to remove it but honestly i like yoda shadow lol
in both blender and game it shows up regular and working, on s4s idk why it look all smeared on 1 side, idk why but as long it works i guess is ok
taken some pics in game in the test world while doing various test stuff for see if everything was ok and posing it with the help of t.o.o.l mod with leafos, i still need to finish the look in create-a-sim
is my actual first mod (aside the failed carpet with default premade mesh) so im quite happy to have an achievement just after learned properly yesterday how to do stuff in blender lol
(dont look at the lag the game was going at like 2 fps i run sims on a potato with both ea app and steam open)
while doing all this had fun so im planning to do more in future for fun, idk what but ive got some ideas
(like another vp themed carpet but that actually works this time, probably cd shaped taking reference to logbox 720 bk-n&b easter egg, im planning to fix the other carpet too now that know to use blender),
hoping they arent too difficult and using simple shapes so can actually finish them vbdchcdbx
been a while since viva pinata posted last time
but for the first time after 1 year blender decided to not make my life difficult again
(actually it is needed to watch the same tutorials 5 times in a day)
and 3 hours later finished this jeffe chocolate coin with success!
the texture part was especially tricky it didnt wanted to show up or was weird so just done stuff externally with libreprite
hope to do more viva pinata related stuff with blender and got even some idea for use it with sims 4 studio
actually i've made a carpet with default stuff and few swatches are vp themed reusing a vp cursor i had drawn but half of it not work and the rest is rendered badly lol
so need still to work on how to use both blender and sims 4 studio, but its a start at least :D
edit: updated in a new post, I've turned this model in a the sims 4 custom content that can be used in game
