His music mentor was on his ass about getting a full set of songs written out on paper and organized into a semi-album to record. Reggie had shuffled some plays and there were a slew he had to re-memorize. Not to mention the whole catch-a-murderer investigation that was still going on. To escape with Cheryl for a road trip and concert sounded too good to be true. She was a good driver in his opinion. He wasn't accustomed to riding in such an expensive car, but the longer they drove the more used to it he became.

  Just after finishing practice, he’d crossed paths with Cheryl, and agreed to give her a ride. Once Reggie put the key in the ignition, he turned towards the redhead.  “Where to?”

      veronica honestly didn’t know what to make of cheryl. every time she proved that she wasn’t that bad a person, she would do something terrible five minutes later. veronica was trying really hard to give her a chance because of how similar she used to behave herself. so she made the effort to be a friend “how are you doing?”

Maybe she should’ve gone the Cheryl route and missed the Variety Show altogether. Right now, Thornhill seemed like DISNEY LAND after they week she’d been through. She huffed out a sigh, laying lazily on Cheryl’s bed twirling a strand of her fiery red hair. She didn’t have many WORDS-- nor did she want to talk about it, but with her and Archie still sort of on the outs, Kevin with his new boy toy and Betty all LOCKED UP, Cheryl was her only option. “Maybe I should dye my hair--” she mumbled lazily.

✿* │  It was early in the morning, school would be starting soon, but for once Betty could say she didn’t really care all that much about it. Her chest was tight, eyes rimmed red from a combination of crying and lack of sleep. She knew the second her parents woke up they’d be wondering where she was. The blonde hadn’t gotten home last night and when she had managed to crawl through her bedroom window--it hadn’t been alone. She barely slept to shaken by everything that she and Jughead had learned to really rest. But one thing was clear. 

Cheryl deserved to know. 

She deserved to know Jason wasn’t as awful as Betty had assumed. That he did love her sister. That they were engaged--and that Polly was pregnant. Jughead had offered to come, but this was something Betty needed to do alone. She pushed herself forward until she was a breath away from the door, hesitation coloring her movements. Betty blew out a breath and lifted her small hand rapping lightly against the door and hopping beyond hope that Cheryl’s parents didn’t answer the door.

she is quite certain that if she has to look archie andrews in the eye today,  she will say   several   things,   and none of them kind.   it’s as good an excuse as any to   linger   in cheryl’s presence,   both girls sitting with a tall milkshake between their hands.      ❝  i can see why you like josie so much.   she’s   pretty   damn badass.  ❞

“Cheryl?”

Archie reached out to touch her elbow gently. The funeral wasn’t a crowd she necessarily reigned queen over. Mrs. Blossom had dragged Cheryl away after her eulogy, but she graced the crowd a little while later. If it were possible she looked more miserable. 

“What you said at the beginning - that was...really admirable.”

It was the SIXTH text in a row and while Ronnie had somewhat committed herself to becoming Cheryl’s friend, the machine-gun texting was getting a little too RIDICULOUS, even for her. “Alright, Cheryl, where’s the FIRE?” she asked as she pushed the gym doors open, looking up from her phone as she adjusted her bag on her shoulder, looking around at the EMPTY gym as she knitted her eyebrows together. “Okay-- I was under the impression that there would be a VERY IMPORTANT practice for the River Vixens today, where is everyone else?” she asked, gesturing to the empty space.
