Ok lets start: Peru is a beautiful piece of land that has a lot of genetic diversity from animals to people. It is beautiful, the home of one of the biggest civilization in Latin America and It has a lot of potential because it has a lot of resources which makes the next sentences sadder.

As we know Latin America is not the best place is you are looking for politic stability. And two days ago there was a coup, we didn't even reach 20 years of democracy and the one we had before, left a lot to hope for, but at least we had leaders chosen by the people. There is no doubt that the decision of the Parliament to fire the President is unconstitutional, the numbers of votes went up from 50 to 105 in less than a day after deals were made amongst the representatives.

Martin Vizcarra, the ex-President of 30 million people, had an aggressive agenda to fight corruption and corrupt politicians. He was elected as our VP in the general elections of 2018, assuming the presidency two years ago after the elected president (PPK) resigned. Despite that, he has done a lot for the country, not perfect, but he has saved thousands of lives during the COVID-19 pandemic thanks to his leadership and science-based decisions. (Lets make clear that even so, Peru has been among one of the most affected countries for COVID, one president can't fight against the different “states” leaders that have been doing a shitshow)

PPK resigned after he made deals to release the Ex-dictator and criminal against human rights, Alberto Fujimori, whose daughter is the leader of one of the biggest political parties at the moment, and whom may be released because of this current shitshow

Why a coup now? Certain political parties want to postpone the general elections of 2021 until 2022 so their political parties will be organized to run for the presidency. A particular candidate, Antauro Humala, who is in jail for having killed two cops a decade ago, wants to run. The new dictator, Merino de Lama, probably will pardon him, and so he will be able to run. Also, he will probably support new legislation, to favor the corruption, and we will recede a lot in matters of environmental health.

The Escazu agreement, one that supported human rights defenders and protected them against murder (Latin America is the region with most indigenous leaders are killed due to conflict with illegal traders, and oil companies), was down voted by this congress due to personal motifs. The last two presidents of congress have been involved in the Baguazo a conflict were indigenous people were killed because they tried to defend their rights of land and the new one also will probably dismantle the organization that monitors universities, the one that secures that we have at least a minimum threshold for them to teach.

Finally, this instability not only affects people but nature. Corruption and greed only fire up the Amazon Rainforest destruction, illegal gold mining and logging, unregulated pollution, overfishing, building highways where there should be none, and so on. Moreover, all of this is built on a systemic disrespect for human rights as people live in there too.

In these two days there have been already put in motion plans to do what I mentioned and there are lots of “budgets needs” that the ministers are asking, also there has been an announcement that we have 0 in the common treasure, so we have 0 money left for them to steal, the next step would be to ask for a loan just for them to fill their pockets.

What we need right now? We need powerful nations to monitor and demand general elections in April 2021. We need our regional and international allies demanding that Peruvians’ well-being is at the center of political actions from today until April 2021. Police are already exercising violence on pacific protesters. Who knows what will happen in the future if so much have already changed in this two last days.

That is just what happened in the last two or three days, and If I want I can explain how other stuff has been very bad the last decade, like the terrorism , the narco-terrorism, and the fucking motion to print more bills which made us be under a freaking over inflation.
