Tricky Situations [Vlad/Kae + Sinbadaen]
"BLAD. I am going to kill you when I get out of here, if you aren't the one who gets me out!" She shouts up at the top of the crag, hands perching on her hips.
"It's Vlad," Vladich corrects while staring own into the dim crag at a perfectly-trapped Kael'airn, "and if you haven't noticed I don' happen t' have any rope on me. What d'you want me t' do-- Fly you out o' there?" He snarks down at her with his arms folded across his chest.
See, it wasn't as if he didn't CARE she was down there. Being stuck in a twenty-something-foot deep perfectly-vertical scar-shaped hole in the ground wasn't a very fun feat to begin with, and although Kael'airn had SAID she was fine, Vlad could hear her limping when she moved around to look for a good spot to climb up at. He couldn't see what her injury might be and that was probably for the better, as she had sliced her calf open pretty deeply on a jag of rock and had only quickly bandaged it with part of her blanket to keep from bleeding all over the place. But still, it wasn't a good injury at all, even if it wasn't immediately mortal...
Unfortunately for Kae, mind you, the crag bore strangely smooth walls and although there were a few roots growing from the top they were all too far for her to reach. The walls were too far apart to be able to scale in a wedge-type fashion, and the rock was far too hard to be able to dig out hand-holds for herself to make her way up. It'd take days just to chip away even one hand-hold with her small rabbit-skinning knife, and when you had any manner of beasts to worry about not to mention a lack of food and water... Nah. That just wasn't an option.
"I can go try t' flag down a passer-by further down th' road if ye' want?" Vladich looks down at her and tosses a thumb over his shoulder, "See if they've got somethin' ta' help?"
"We are TWENTY MILES out from The Rift -- What in the world makes you think there would be anybody out here this late in the day?? Everyone's closer to town, hoping to make it behind city walls before sunset arrives!" Kael'airn retorted.
"Oh, sorry," Vlad feigned an apologetic tone with a sharp tilt of his head, "I didn't know the plan was to sit here and do nothing. Sounds great!"
"BLAD."
"Vlad!" Vladich exhales sharply, pinching the bridge of his nose for a moment before waving his hand dismissively, "Look-- Nevermind, alright? I'm gonna go find somebody an' you can jes' stay right there. If we're lucky, maybe Ssz'yrr will roll along and be able ta' yank y' out by yer' collar." He said and then, wanting to avoid further arguments, he turned to walk back up toward the road roughly a mile and a half away.
Kael'airn's bright golden eyes widened somewhat. Did he just leave?
"Blad?" She called.
....
"....VLAD??" She called a bit louder, a bit more frantically, her heart fluttering inside her chest, "Bl-- Vlad! You can't just walk off and leave me here! I'll starve here if you end up getting yourself eaten by something on the way back! Can't we just figure something else ou--"
WHAP. Before another word left her a thick leather sack came sailing over the edge of the crag, and it dropped down, down, down until it finally smacked Kae full in the face, making her lose her balance and fall down onto her behind.
"There! No starving! I'll be back soon!" Vlad called from a distance while Kae sat there by the sack of water-and-rations and rocked back and forth while holding her aching face.
I made the right decision, Kae told herself repeatedly in her head as fear of being abandoned in the stupid crag made the stark shadow of regret begin to crawl up into her belly, I made the right decision to tag along. I made the right decision. I did. He'll come back. He has to!
Of course he'd come back! She was part of the team now, wasn't she? If he'd stuck with Ssz'yrr for as long as he had so far, why wouldn't he stick through this to help Kael'airn out-- new-comer or not?
...Although WHEN, exactly, he'd come back was a different matter entirely.
Here he was, five hours later, still sitting by the main road cutting through the Aspen-covered forest of The Rift as he waited for somebody--ANYBODY to come rolling along. You'd think he'd have seen someone by now, right? But no! Not a single person seemed to be anywhere of note out here and it was beginning to stir some genuine concern in Vlad. He couldn't leave Kael'airn down there forever, afterall, and who knows what would happen to her down there if he took the time to go to town to find somebody? It'd be a day and a half before he got back to her, if not longer, and any sort of bandit or creature could get down there and she'd have no way to get away from them! Skeevers, especially, were excellent climbers and could likely get in there, tear her apart, and get out before anyone was the wiser if he went too far away.
At least at this distance he could hear her. Although he heard her PLENTY during the first two hours, he didn't hear her at all now and he simply figured she must've just gotten tired of shouting and yelling.
Heaving a heavy sigh, Vladich smeared his face all around with his palms and gave a long, drawn-out groan of discontent and frustration. He hung his head and wrapped his arms around his head in order to try and think on an alternative plan-- in the process, of course, missing the approach of a certain individual entirely as he made his way down the road in the direction of Riften.
"I really hope this ain't an omen." Vladich remarked idly, "If she's gonna pull the damsel-in-distress thing half the time we're with her... Ooooh, Aedra."

Ssz'yrr,
He didn't think anything of it when the small canine came running across his path, and he reached out to grab it... But now that his hands were stained with blood and the small, mangled body of the puppy was dangling from sharp yellow claws, and a villager was pointing at him and shouting while a small girl cried into her hands....
"Mon--..." His eyes widened softly and his mouth hung open behind his veil. Mon-- Monster? No-- It... Those inverted eyes look shakily down at the puppy and then it drops to the ground with a wet 'thump' and Ssz'yrr, unsure of what to do, steps back. He jerks his gaze back up at the villager and growing crowd and shakes his head, unsure how to defend himself.
'It was food..' he told himself frantically, 'It was food! Why is this different from rabbits? From hens???' He began to pant and he tried wiping the blood off on his clothes, desperately trying to take back what he'd just done, despite how his stomach growled in protest of the newly caught meal laying on the ground.
"I..." He panted, eyes welling up, "I.. I s-sszorry!" He shouts back at the angry crowd before swiftly turning and running away into the forest.
Monster. Monster!
Vladich,
Well! It certainly wasn't the worst thing he'd been called... and maybe he felt bad about it, but the fact of the matter was a deal was a deal and this deal had been broken. So, as he hauled the crippled old man over his shoulder, he shrugged lightly--making the poor old man grunt and groan--and said, "Sorry, Miss. You're the one who decided to pay a group of thugs to keep your farm safe from other thugs. You didn't think that one through, did you? Don't worry." He gives the old man a gentle pat on the bum, making him squirm and mumble out incoherent--but clearly angry--insults, "You'll have your father back when you can scrounge up twenty silvers. In the meantime, he'll be with me, making pretty bracelets to sell to raise money for children! Won't that be fun?"
With the woman angry beyond words and the 90-something-year-old-wrinkled-potato-of-a-man trying his best not to have a heart attack, Vladich turns and walks off with his 'hostage' to wait for further orders from his contract.
In the meantime - Tea-time. Maybe the old man might enjoy a vacation at the hot springs, soaking away old aches and pains while downing some of the most relaxing tea he's ever been treated to?
Heck. If all kidnappings were like this, he might have a new hobby as a not-a-damsel-but-in-distress!
Why does Vlad like Javen's eyes?
"Not neccessarily because of their color, mind y', though they are the deepest shade o' honey-fire I think I've ever seen. Nah, th' eyes give away a person's nature an' I like what I see in yours." Vlad grins toothily as he leans over to brush a bit of hair out of her eyes, "They tell me y' could kiss kittens just as soon as y' could kill kingdoms."
To Vlad: What do you like better: Mer Ladies with large breasts or mer ladies with tight booty?
Vlad: Well, now! Make it a difficult decision, why don'tche? Although I do hold a kind've fondness fer' 'touch 'em and I kill you' pillows, I'd hafta' choose a nice, tight sittin' cushion over that on account of cuddling opportunities. I'd rather get nice and close to m' partner, and that ain't happenin' with a pair o' fleshy chest-mountains keepin' us apart.

Ssz'Yrr,
Of all the mentions on Ssz'yrr's health I've made already there are still what seems to be endless amounts of health issues running rampant through Ssz'yrr. They're not always physical, though - You can imagine the mental problems he remains adled with. One of these is a highly severe paranoia disorder, resulting in a number of 'rules' he must follow before he can feel comfortable. I.E. with sleep, he must sleep on his side with his back to something and his feet also to the same something, preferably covered/out of sight and with something, a rock maybe, in his hand. If this criteria is not met he cannot sleep.
Vladich,
Vladich is a surprisingly healthy person considering he doesn't drink nearly half what the average Nord might drink. He does smoke, but usually what he smokes are cigarette-esque rolls of a wild-weed blend of his own creation which, so far, has improved lung function rather than ruin it. There are side-effects to these wild-weed smokes of his though - such as the occasional bought of nausea or dizziness and the inability to sleep very well. When these start to appear he simply stops smoking the wild-weed for a few days and it settles down. Still probably not good for him, though.
She sighed heavily as she shook her head. "Breton. Please stop with the dagger gaze. I am not an Agent of the Thalmor. Now please stop impeding my work or I may have to reset your hands so that they bend backwards." Psysha stated as she kept her eyes on the horse she was working with.
"....Huh. Y'sure y'ain't Thalmor? 'Cause you kinda look like Thalmor... in the sense that everyone with a beard looks like a Nord, y'know?" which was his not-so-tactful way of trying to outright avoid saying he messed up and sorry for calling you a Thalmor and will you still have dinner with me, "Nevermind, though. As useful as I'm sure that would be I've already learned to lace my boots with my hands in the positions they are currently in. Can't imagine the frustration I'd experience in tryin' to re-learn how to lace those boots. I distinctly remember throwing my younger brother in rage the first time I tried to learn to lace."
He paused.
"He's fine, by the way."
After that, an extended period of silence was given as Vladich glanced off to the side, hairy upper lip sloping in a thoughtful pucker of his lips.... Then, unable to really stay quiet for very long, he looks back up at her with that sky-colored gaze and asks, "So, where'd my unfortunate-looking friend go? You wouldn't happen to know, would you?" Not that he was all that worried. Sizz was pretty good at avoiding death.

Ssz'Yrr,
....Is she asleep? Ssz'yrr pondered what she looked like when she slept as he crouched over her and stared at closed lids. She didn't react when he snuck over, so maybe she was asleep.. or he was very quiet! Or maybe... Oh my god, Vlad, put that down! That's not yours! Ssz'yrr hisses in his general direction as he tries to pocket Faenil's weapon, pointing down at the womer in question.
Vladich,
...What? He was going to put it back! No he wasn't. He approaches and stoops over the woman as well and stares just as closely... not sure what he's supposed to be staring at. She's asleep, right? Wonder what sort of reaction she'll have to wake up to a Falmer and a dashing no-mer looming over her. Serves her right for falling asleep in the middle of... oh wait, is that blood? Oh. Maybe she didn't fall asleep. She's breathing though, so that's good! Maybe they should uh... move her..
