Things that really Butter my Klance Croissant
Reminder: I would love if it became canon but I am totally supportive of the show’s creators and their decisions! Whether these scenes are completely taken out of context as just friend scenes is totally fine! It’s just some things I still can’t get off my mind when we’re talking Klance. Their relationship as friends and equals has grown so much and I’m so happy for them. Platonic or romantic Klance is great.
- The bonding moment where they held hands and stared at each other while smiling for a good solid few minutes while Shiro helped Pidge up. “We are a good team” can be just a simple ‘we’re becoming bros!’ line but the staring at each other for a few minutes just really butters my croissant
- The fact that Lance denied this moment to see Keith’s reaction, or just to mess with him, and how offended Keith was that Lance “Forgot”. Also don’t forget that Keith waited anxiously for Lance to wake up in that same episode.
- Same episode as the bonding moment: Lance flying his lion on that one planet and there’s the bisexual flag colors in the background and THATS TEA.
- The fact that when Lance was like “can u come and unchain me” Keith wanted to mess with him back because Lance didn’t remember the bonding moment, spurring a “I thought we bonded!” retort from Lance
- The fact that Lance puts Keith on a pedestal as something to strive to be like in seasons 1-2. By the end, Lance sees himself as an equal to Keith, giving the boy better self-esteem, regardless if Keith helped with that or not, either way, that makes me happy.
- The whole pool scene where they’re both shirtless and stuck in the elevator. “You stay on one side of the pool, and I’ll stay on the other”. “You aren’t shoving hard enough!”
- Lance recognizes Keith by his hair in the first episode.
- Lance did not give a single care about the fact that Keith was part-Galra, while the rest of the team had their fears about it. Especially Allura.
- Lance was the first one to step up and support Keith as the new black lion pilot after Shiro vanished, and became his impulse control in season 3, and Keith helped Lance realize his full potential and rise to the spot of “Right hand man” being the pilot of red.
- Lance talking to Keith about the fact he feels he doesn’t or isn’t useful to the team and Keith having to talk him out of a tree.
- “Leave the math to Pidge” that was so smooth thank you Keith
- Lance was so excited when Keith returned to the team.
- “Bigger, cooler, grizzled, older brother.” Thank you Loverboy Lance
- The game show in season 7 where I quote Lance, “I think, he’s like, the future!” followed by a warm smile from Lance. Keith picks Lance, and he’s a bit colder about it but, out of the WHOLE TEAM, he picked Lance. “I just don’t want to be stuck here for an eternity with Lance” alright m8 sure whatever u say
- “look I’m glad we’re all making fun of lance”
-The official art for season 8 has got me shook, like, are they holding hands or what??
