V:LD S6E1, "Omega Shield"
Lance: What up? I’m back!
Hunk: I literally heard you die. You died. You were dead.
Allura: Death is a social construct.

[Catching Keith and Shiro up on the Omega Shield incident]
Lance, dramatically: This... is the story... of how I died.
Keith: !!?
Shiro: !!!?
Lance: No, no, no, don't worry, this actually turned out to be a happy story.

Superhero by the Script
Send me a song and I'll tell you what fandom/character(s) it reminds me of
I love the Script
Okay, so, this might be a weird combination but... Romelle and Allura from Voltron: Legendary Defender and Deku from My Hero Academia.
"The Colony," "The Black Paladins," "All Good Things," "Defenders of All Universes," and "A Little Adventure" all take place on the same day, like... what an eventful frickin' day.
Sir, that's my emotional support teleporting comet wolf
Haggar: You know I can read your mind.
Shiro's mind: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Haggar: *gets blasted across the room*
Shiro: Yeah, I got a lot going on.

Is Keith and Shiro's dynamic as genuinely unique as it feels to me or is it just the first time I've encountered it? That level of emotional intensity in a mentor-mentee / chosen family relationship, with that particular age dynamic (met as preteen and fledgling adult) where the insanely protective one who keeps saving the other is the younger one?
i mean, please let me know of any other examples! i just can't think of any.
