Hey y’all! Amaranth here! I wanted to share some facts about myself to make this blog feel a bit nicer and homely. Vlei is busy because according to him:“paperwork is important Amaranth. Wait—have you even started on your last field report? No-Amaranth you cannot copy off mine!”
- I’m originally from Unova! I was shuffled off from the fabulous Nimbasa city to reliable old dusty Driftvale when I was three. My Uncle Arcer was a fossil researcher and he couldn’t leave me alone all day so he would bring me to the dig sight, hand me an old leather bound copy of ‘Tales of Unova’ and let me entertain myself until lunch. I guess that’s where I got my love of myths and legends
- My first Pokémon was a Sigilyph that my Uncle caught one day while he was out in the field. Later I would go wondering off and find a Yamask. My team now consists of my Arcanine, Cofagrigis, and Sigilyph
- I was planning to complete the Unova gym challenge and work my way to the elite four but while working my way towards my eighth badge I met Drayden and he steered me towards my real passion—mythology!
- I know three different ancient languages. Even though Vlei is the one who can speak all the languages we need, I’m best when it comes to translating runes.
- Cynthia was the one to get me this internship under Rowan. I met her in Undella town while meeting up with my friend and sort of rival Marko. We started talking about legends and ancient myths and she told me to come to Sinnoh to study under Rowan if I wanted to get a hands on experience
- I love being out in the field, contrary to Vlei, who loves the indoors. I was raised with a bunch of muddy rough Pokémon and I’m always at home in a ranch or in the grass
- I’m pretty skilled riding Tauros. I once tried Ryhorn racing when we were in Kalos but uh turns out the race I entered was illegal? It was a mad dash to get to the finish line before the Kalos Police came. I think I have a picture somewhere
