In case anyone is unaware of recent news regarding the vocaloid fandom, VocaloidLyrics has officially moved its host to Miraheze. The VLW admins wrote a detailed explanation of why, however, admins on r/Vocaloid have shortened that information down to
“…The new policy on lyrics removal has made our stay on Fandom untenable. Miraheze, in contrast, has agreed to host us and been much more transparent on actual policy.”
along with many other reasons. Later, Fandom actually took down the entire wiki. Most songs in the most recent data save have been imported, and the website is a whole lot more customizable. You can write your own CSS, a discussion page has essentially replaced the forum, and new templates have also been added. The greatest bonuses of this are the lack of censorship (an issues the been a repeated problem on Fandom for a long time) and basically no ads. It also just looks nicer in general. The admins also recommend to stop using Fandom, and if you’ve been out of the loop on Fandom issues, the VLW admins have also included a detailed video on why you should stop using Fandom.
