I think this is an often overlooked video. Mariah Carey gives an impromptu performance. Her voice here is agile as hell and her melismas at the beggining are mind blowing. This is vocal improvisation at its finest.

whemeber i get better at hguitar it just makes me realize how good i am at vocal improvization in comparison to guitar like its sooo easy to just make any tune ever in my head but omfg i gtta figure out how to do it with my hands... crazy....

An improvised vocal performance I recorded a year and a half ago! You’d never guess I recorded it in my own kitchen, using only the Garageband iPhone app and a headphone mic! The first layer was recorded, with the second recorded overtop, and so on for all 5 layers. You can view and subscribe to my Youtube Channel here
