Somebody for deadspin 'wrote' an 'article' that was supposed to be about the giants honoring vogelsong today, but damn. It's about 30 words or so that boil down to " he wasn't on the team this year, and the giants are bad so who cares". At least that's how I'm taking it. Carmen kiew isn't too happy about the thing either. I mean, damn I know that site isn't the greatest for sports content, but try a little bit. They'll probably do timmy like that when the time comes, too.

Todd (our trainer) and my wife were in the ambulance with me, and I remember just saying to them, like, “I can’t believe this is how it’s gonna end.” You know, I’ve been through all this stuff - injuries, Japan, winter ball, making a comeback - and this is how it’s gonna end? I get hit in the face?? "And, you know, I was saying that, but deep down inside, I was trying to talk myself into “this isn’t it.” But at that point in time I really didn’t know, like I said before. "At this point in time, yes, it’s just another obstacle, and another thing to get through, and another thing to conquer and say that I came back from it; but there was times when I wasn’t a hundred percent sure. So from that standpoint, you also understand why I say that it’s gonna be an emotional day.
