Hey there! I've been playing BOTW for the past few months and you did a great job voicing Teba, Revali, and The Great Duku tree (Revali's snarky and overconfident personslity grew on me. I had a question from one of my friends if you don't mind answering it. They wanted to know how does one go out for roles? Is it something that needs to be registered for, or do they gave a different process? I know having a resume/portfolio helps, but I'm not sure where it applied, so I figured I'd ask you!
For my freelance/online work, it’s a matter of going out there and finding the auditions (or in most cases, being a member of the sites where the auditions are posted) - I receive aggregate emails from Voice123 and The Voice Realm regarding open auditions, but also get notified by PeoplePerHour and related sites when a ‘relevant audition’ matching my skillset gets posted. From there, it’s up to me whether I want to submit or not.
For studio work, my current client base consists of studios I’ve done workshops with & have since requested to be on the audition roster for (after sending professional demos), or clients/partner studios I ended up working with as a result of a collaborative project who then OK’d my request for them to send me future audition opportunities. My agency (SBV Talent) also falls under this umbrella.
In both cases, having an updated resume and available demos relevant to the type of work the studio/client is looking to cast help significantly with selling myself and my services.
