You have such a wonderful voice <3
Do you have any suggestions for getting into a 'tist or dommy voice with another person? It's hard not to overthink things and get shy.
Thank you, truly. Compliments to my voice always make us smile. We're quite sensitive about it.
Happy you asked about this though as performing a good hypnotist/dommy voice is something that I put a lot of time and effort into. Mind The Baron and Secret Subject have taught good classes on it which I've attended. I'll not call myself an expert in any regards but... I may as well share some of my learning.
First you want to work on your tone. Are you going for Firm and Commanding. Soft and seductive. Or droning and lulling...
You can always switch it up but you want to get a good grip on the type of performance you're trying to give. Try to match your strengths too.
Let's take this sentence: "And as you listen to the sound of my enrapturing voice you find yourself more and more focused, drawn in and drawn down, lulled and soothed and compelled to sink and surrender down, down and down."
I could say it fast and commanding. [read out loud in audio version above]
Slow and lusty. [read out loud in audio version above]
or... droning and... soothing... [read out loud in audio version above]
Each have their advantages. A droning one just invites the mind to stop processing and let the words glide under the surface without any real thought where the fast approach is like an assault on the senses that allows an overwhelm induction to pull your attention one way, then another way and circling and spiralling around and around until...
Well, we're not trying to actually induce hypnosis here, are we.
For the lusty, that's just pure scene play and living up to the scene, but you may find yourself so busy thinking about me and my voice that you don't even notice how I'm slipping little suggestions into your ear with these honeyed words...
Prior to voice training, both in hypnotic candor and gender affirmation, we used to favor a more deep and gravel tone. I think that's the default for masc presentation.
You hear it a lot in male audio. We used to perform that way in the past. I think I have a recording I made for a partner so here's a sample of our old voice performing. Excuse the audio quality and stark difference between what you hear now and what you'll hear now:

Anyway. I hope that helps.
