Not having a hyperfixation on magic anymore is a wild experience because my whole identity was based on it for awhile I met all my friends through it and I was able to get an art business going because of it and fuckin people call me Haz because of Hazoret but now that I’m way less interested I feel like I have less of an identity and I’m just kinda not sure who I am in a way.

Extra History on Youtube did an excellent series on the 1918 flu pandemic. Might shed some light on why we take it so seriously.

The 1918 flu pandemic was global and there were countries with more deaths than the US, so that in itself doesn’t, imo, explain all of it. But as stated in previous responses, if those shots aren’t (always) free and not everyone in an at-risk group can get them, rendering herd immunity more important than it would be over here, that’s an explanation that goes a longer way.

What is each of your walkers' favorite food?

Halona and her homeplane have a lot of Filipino inspirations so pancit, lumpia, and siapao come to mind as top contenders. She a meat and grains kind of girl.

Nireta would love spanakopita (or just general spinach and cheese stuff).

Catrina is big meat fan and eats a lot of stews. Like a simpler beef and barley kind a stew is her jam.

Okay, so, I’m starting to think I have problems reading. I’ve not wanted to admit it, but, there it is. I find reading long blocks of text difficult on my eyes for extended periods of time, and I feel my mind wander without anything to break it up.

That said, I still want to know what happens in the stories I love. Right now, I’m trying to catch up on the Magic story by listening to @voiceofallmtg’s readings of the stories, and...I find it awesome! I follow along while the voice reads, and I don’t find my mind wandering or the text growing as blurry. And if I do get distracted, I can still hear it and process it.

I don’t know what issue I may have when it comes to reading, if any, but Voice of All MTG is awesome for doing what they do. Seriously. :)
