Would you like to see void 1 argos with hair made of snakes? Or hair made of feathers?…….asking for no particular reason

Although I decided on feathers as the winner, I’ve seen SO MANY cool ideas for Medusa Argos, that I might end up remaking Void 1 Argos in the future!

Also, hair made of feathers covered in hundreds of eyes is literal hell on earth. No. Never again.

But hey, at least he has cool spider legs :D

ARGOS: VOID 1 AU

“Argos, man confined to the perpetual mischief of his wretched parasites. Organ needles pinch the ground as the gold-gild spider legs rouse from the slight touch of disturbance. Numerous flailing, limpid snakes, stained charcoal black, hiss and propel forward. Eyes erect from every tender slice of skin, twitching as their neighbors fill them with their tears. Argos, man confined to his external teratomas. Oh, sweet victim of the void, what has become of you? Once lively soul, now naught but a wandering corpse.”

This is my redesign of my original VOID 1 Argos design! While I had originally drawn him with hair made of feathers to give a sort of angelic, seraphim-esque vibe, I realized that I (and those of you in the comments of this post) would have preferred snake-like hair. Which actually works out considering Argos’ name derives from Greek mythology.

I tried to remain faithful to the source material and make this design accurate to the other beings in VOID 1, but I also knew I wanted to give him more than a few extra limbs. So, in my AU of VOID 1, the mutilation and effects of the atmosphere are broader and vary between people, creating their own personalized torment. (This was very much so inspired by TADC and Madoka Magica, lmao.)

As for Argos specifically, his design is meant to be cruelly ironic. One of his most prevalent and defining character traits is his liveliness, and independence. But in VOID 1, he becomes a completely co-dependent, almost lifeless individual. Having to rely on untrustworthy beings for literally everything. And with each passing day that he spends in the void, he loses more and more of his humanity and consciousness.

Did I go overboard? Absolutely.

Do I regret it? Absolutely not.

Lowkey have been planning what I want VOID 1 Mr. Plant to be like

Since Argos’ physical body was basically an iron wall of defense it would only make sense for Mr. Plant to be more attack based

Like imagine he becomes this bloodthirsty carnivorous monster, almost like an animal

Also to go along with Argos’ ironic theming, Mr. Plant is this silent-but-deadly, quiet, keeps to himself kind of guy

VOID 1 Mr. Plant is pretty much the opposite. He becomes loud and chaotic (like. Banshee screams and every part of his body is a noisemaker in some way) and this sort of sanguinary behavior spreads to other voids and he becomes this sort, celebrity (?) or living urban legend.

Definitely open to suggestions, but istg I’m onto smth here
