   There’s a moment’s hesitation- not because she’s hesitant to say anything, but because it takes her a moment to catch up with the question. It came rather out of the blue after all. Once she thinks she understands though, Sol blinks and nods. Does she really understand what kind of love he’s addressing? Maybe not. “ Yes, I do. “ Another pause as another idea strikes and fills her with worry. “ Have I ever done anything to indicate I do not care about you? “

   “ For some, sharing a bed does carry a deep meaning. It embodies complete trust, as we are most vulnerable asleep. “ She gives her legs a little stretch, calves flexing beneath the covers before relaxing again. “ Or should they act out in their sleep, the other may be witness to some embarrassing behaviors. I suppose I feel similarly, but I do not associate myself with those I could not trust with my helpless self. So... there is that. “

   Hugging her pillow close with one arm, she uses the other hand to pat him on the head.  “ If you wish to sleep, sleep! I will be awake for a while longer- just takes me time to set. “

Surprise filled the Exo's features when the other had pushed him back. The action felt almost tender, though it held a clear aggressive nature. Kaz had wanted to get his attention and he certainly had it now. When his question came next, Cayde couldn't help but become more agitated. However, the fury in the other mans face forced him to lower his voice.

"Who would I be if I don't go? What kind of Hunter would I be if I don't fight with all I got? The Vanguard could and would find a replacement. Hell, they might even call on you. You're clearly the Traveler's secret weapon of choice."

His hands were on his hips now almost forcing himself to be grounded. Kaz didn't deserve his wrath. This wasn't his fault. If anything he deserved a well thought out thank you and a stiff drink. Emabresment started to flourish within the Vanguard Hunter, causing him to cast his eyes downward yet remaining near the other's hands in case he had more to say.

   It’s not hard to see the fist coming her way, but it’s unexpectedly quick and she has only a narrow time frame to dodge. Sol’s eyes flit between the gauntlet passing through the space where her head used to be to the Nightstalker’s own line of sight. Not even a second passes before the Gunslinger has a hand clasped on his forearm and is dragging him down. Her center of gravity is MUCH lower than his, and she gladly uses this to her advantage. Pulling him towards her and hoping his own gravity will be thrown... It’s a tactic she’s used before, but never on another Guardian.

   Solgun catches Kaz sitting down after another sleepless night. She always gets the sense that he is tired, but she’s never certain of whether or not he actually feels it. Or if he even knows the difference between being well rested or exhausted, with sleep deprivation being his natural state? But... that’s not for her to worry about, is it?

   Glancing back at him, the Gunslinger makes a decision.

   Armed with a thick blanket around her shoulders, Solgun approaches him with a mellow smile. “ Another night spent awake, is it not? ” She dips forward, presses a kiss to his forehead. When she pulls away, Sol’s looking a little brighter. “ A good luck token, should you seek the wilds or a bed. ”
