I am so mad. Today at work was crazy. There was a birthday party scheduled at my work at 6. They’d be using our airsoft gun rentals til 7:30. Another group called and wanted to play tonight but i told them that they could not start until 7:30 because that’d when the rentals would be available since the party has the rentals. They were okay with that. So I hung up, and about 30 mins later, the birthday party shows up and the mom of one of the kids asks if they can extend the party. I say no because there’s a group coming in later that needs the rentals. I then leave because it was WELL past my shift. Before i leave, I told my coworker all of this so she knew that there was a group coming in later at 7:30.
Apparently while i was gone, my boss calls my work and talks to my coworker, asking how things are going. She tells him that the birthday party was a little disappointed. So my boss tells her to extend the party.......... and she doesn’t even tell my boss that there was a scheduled group coming in at 7:30 that needs the rentals so we CANNOT do that. She just rolled with it and didn’t bother letting him know. So now the birthday party was extended and the group came in and were pissed because they couldn’t have their rentals.
Now both groups think i’m an ass because i had told the birthday party they couldn’t extend the party in the first place and i had told the group that they could reserve rentals after the party. But alas, because my coworker didnt tell my boss that he couldn’t extend the party, I look like a poor excuse of a manager. Which isn’t fair AT ALL because if it went the way i had scheduled it, both groups would have been satisfied. Whatever.
