There was a point in the campaign where Ozy had to choose between his god or the party. He chose the party, but I like to think that in a world where he remained a paladin of the Traveller their relationship would have gotten even weirder than it already was!

follow up to my last post. my DM made it known that kallux would not enjoy ozy's beard and i think that's beautiful considering how chill kallux is about literally everything else. he will forgive ozy breaking his heart but not the extra hair on his face.

(ozy grew the beard out when he was separated from kallux for a while, in an "i cut the sleeves off all my shirts" kind of way. mostly he thinks it's funny that he finally found something superficial that kallux hates)

look I wasn't exactly PLANNING for scratch to give her brother a warlock pact, but i'm incredibly happy it happened

the contract:

Always give your sister free pastries whenever she asks

When you see pretty rocks, pick them up when you can and take a picture when you can't

Bring a basket of pastries to the temple of Erathis once a month

thinking about scratch and how her curiosity and thirst for knowledge is so tied in with being human and THAT being the thing the godling asked for in exchange for divinity -- and scratch clawing and tearing and pissed beyond belief but Doing It because she believes in her friends (family) and won't let them be alone or go where she can't follow

and she got to keep it all -- her friends and her curiosity -- and got divinity on top of that. and now. now she knows more than Ever that she wants to be human. she wants and she wants and she wants and she looks at her friends and sees people who have been fighting for such a long time -- and she wants them to get that soft ending. And somehow she feels like she Chose this in a way that most of them didn't and yet they're the ones willing to risk giving up their humanity, giving up everything that makes them a Person -- flawed, messy, uncertain, but so filled with wonder and love and the joy of learning -- of not knowing and getting to find out.

she Chose this. to come here. for everything the void touches but mostly for her friends. dai chose to blow himself up to fix her mess -- to save selto -- her home -- and his soul was essentially tortured for three years. and she can't do this for him?
