On the ask Alx thing, it states that Rei is canonically made of void goo
Love her to pieces🥰
Old art with a tribute to @heartmachinez, one of my favorite indie developers of all. Alex and his team’s games just ooze vibrant colours wrapped in discordant and melancholic plots. Light for “Hyper Light Drifter” and Void for “Solar Ash”. Maybe I should also do another piece for “Hyper Light Breaker” closer to launch? Hmm~

OCTANE COULDN’T HIDE THE DISAPPOINTMENT IN HIS VOICE. he tried to get to bangalore, he really did, but he wasn’t fast enough-- he literally was not fast enough. and speed was his THING; so why couldn’t he do it this time?
but, he tried to not get too caught up in his frustration. they had to keep their head in the game, or else the other squads would stomp on them and squish them like bugs.
and yet, octane would get all whiny when wraith suggested they WAIT. wait is such a terrible word. octane didn’t want to sit here and do nothing like a coward-- he wanted to get back in there and give these other squads HELL. part of him, however, realized that this would probably mean certain death. so for now, octane barely kept himself from complaining. too much, that is.
“ agh, i GUESS. but-- that’s so boring. i’m sure we could take ‘em on easily! come ooooon, wraith! “
the speedster bounced around on his feet, hands clasped together as he begged her to for once abandon her responsible ways. they were called the apex GAMES after all-- and games were supposed to be fun, right? and being reckless was extremely fun.

“I’m glad you’re here. Truly.” from voidrunner
Their head tilted to the side, a curious habit of theirs that they did whenever they were considering someone or thinking about something. Truly they were surprised to hear such a statement coming from Wraith. It wasn’t often that they exchanged words, they were the quiet sort just like Bloodhound themself and they respected that. Not much conversation was usually needed between them, they had a certain mutual understanding that made them a deadly duo within the ring.
Only they weren’t in the ring and Wraith wasn’t congratulating them on a kill or well-fought win. No, they were both seated at the bar of the Paradise Lounge sipping upon their drinks side-by-side (Bloodhound’s through a straw in their mask). As per usual not many words had yet to be exchanged between them but when they hear Wraith’s voice, calm and cool as always, they turn towards her curiously. What had prompted them to say it, they weren’t sure but they feel a smile curl upon their lips nonetheless.
“It was happenstance that we both came here at the same time. If perhaps we had both been aware we could have come as a pair.” They pause to take a sip of their drink before continuing. “But I am happ that you are here too. You are a good company to keep, felagi.”
@voidrunner || prompt: ❝ God, you must have been the worst fourth grader ever. ❞ from voidrunner !
❝ HEH, TRUST ME MY BROTHERS WERE WORSE. ❞
He remembered them coming home from school after getting a severe scolding from the teachers, and their mothers disappointed amusement as she and himself met them at the front door. ❝ I’ll have you know I had AWESOME grades! ❞

↬ 📞 + 😯 ( surprising voicemail ) from @voidrunner
— she was still taking it in, the way wraith slid in front of loba in the middle of the arena, snatching the volt from within loba’s grasp. having something stolen from her, well -- it was foreign. definitely not something loba was used to. stealing something from loba within the arena happened, other legends had achieved it before, but she always got them back. “renee,” she spoke into the phone, a small smile adorning her face, “stealing that volt was dangerous of you, but i admire your spirit. not something i expected from you,” she continued, loba didn’t underestimate wraith -- not at all, but she didn’t expect the girl to be so sneaky, taking something that quickly, “but don’t let it happen again, got it?”
