✨: What motivates them? Is it a deep rooted passion/motivation, or is it something they struggle with from time to time?
((Waka’s motivation stems from his need to atone for what he believes are his wrongdoings. He blames himself for the destruction of the Celestials aboard the ark, as well as Orochi attacking the Celestial Plain. He believes that the latter was because he fled the lunar realm instead of staying to perish with his kin, and he believes the former is due to having arrived on the plain with the ark. He feels responsible, and he owes it to Amaterasu to help her restore their former home.
This is what drives him to go to great lengths to seek out the ark during the course of the game, and why he goes alone to take care of Yami before Amaterasu’s arrival. It is also why he took to guarding the Moon Cave after Amaterasu’s death and why he kept tabs on her often.
Throughout Okami, and Okamiden, Waka is constantly working to make things right and to protect the mortal realm from demons, which originated from the lunar realm.))
🌟: Do they have any places they want to go before they die? For what reasons do they want to go there?
((Waka Wishes to return to the Celestial Plain, which is now his permanent home after having fled the Lunar Realm. When he first arrived, Amaterasu and the Celestials took him in and considered Waka one of their own, and as such he sees the heavens as his true home.
A part of him has debated on returning to see what was left of his original home, but he decided against it since the memories and horrors would be too much to deal with.))
✘: Who do they detest the most? Do they typically avoid this person or antagonize them?
((Waka detests demons, specifically Orochi and Ninetails. He also detests Yami, who was ultimately the entity behind the destruction of the Moon tribe as well as the Celestials, while Orochi was the one who destroyed the Celestial Plain.
He will neither go out of his way to antagonize them, nor confront them, instead leaving the demons to Amaterasu.
He has, however, confronted Yami directly, only to end up failing and left for dead.))
