He must have seen the barrel of the pistol aimed at his chest, as well. There was a soft whine as the weapon charged, but she remained still as a corpse, staring him down from beneath the shadow of her hood.

“Forget what you saw, for both our sakes.” She could keep the tremble out of her hand, but not out of her voice. “I was never here.”

The words tasted true. Since the moment she’d woken up on her dead ship, she’d felt more like a ghost and less like one of the last living Alteans.

- or they have something that matches with their body part. Hunk and Lance have anklets. Keith and Pidge have rings/bracelets. Shiro has a necklace.

-it is impossible to take these items off unless they are killed/cut off/removed with a huge amount of force or their lion disowns them from being a paladin

-used to call their lion, also could totally have a magical element based power that works with them too

-they might be toxic or something because of the quintessence that runs through them

-when in their armour the pieces sink in/fuse to their body and form marks/tattoos/something like that where they rest on that paladins body

Okay so it's like two in the morning and it's been a long day but the voltron tags have made me upset and gosh dang it I want to add something positive. So here's a doodle and an au from almost a year ago. (And if the layout is weird I made it on mobile so I apologize) World war 2 au: *Voltron but during the second world war *Galra are the equivalent to Nazis *Allura and Coran are a part of the British army *Shiro and Matt and Dr. Holt were soldiers sent in to investigate *They were essentially captured. Matt and Dr. Holt were sent off to a work camp while shiro was experimented on in one of the top secret camps. *Shiro escaped and after running into the rest of the team returned to the military *Pidge pretended to be a man and snuck into the military to find her family Mulan style *Keith went overseas and joined up before America even joined the war and became somewhat of a rogue freedom fighter. *First time overseas is when the garrison trio meet Keith and find shiro *They then are recruited by the secret soldier program voltron to help take down the galra by other means *The Lion colours become their code names *Allura and Coran's home town was destroyed by the galra including the University that Allura's father helped build. *I'm not sure yet whether they are gonna have some type of mechanical technology to represent the lions or some kind of super soldier powers related to the lions abilities or whether they are just gonna be cool spies but they are gonna be the awesome go to team that almost single handedly takes down the galra and saves the world *Pidge and shiro find her family eventually and free them *This picture is from after the war where altea University is restored and pidge (despite being a girl) gets accepted into the science program *She and shiro spend their university days studying in peace and healing together from the war and being the adorable beans they are

The slurping sounds much too loud to her own ears, amongst the bustle of the food court. It's the same crowd as always; never any new tourists to stalk and pickpocket. Her jobs have been coming in slowly, almost dwindling to nothing over the past month. She's went from raiding ships to cashing in on bounties on other's heads. Rem chews thoughtfully on what she can only compare to a fry. Another long, annoying sip from her cup just to piss off that pod of aliens a few tables across from her; she's got no time for posh airheads. She can't stomach this food anymore, not with her mind racing like it is, so she stands and dumps the tray. She could really go for a chocolate shake.

Hands behind her head, boots take her down the department stores hallways. She doesn't make eye contact as she passes the kiosks, but somehow still manages to get ambushed with perfumes, coughing and waving the scents away from her before hurrying away. She's only going to be here for a few more days. Two to be exact; that's when her sad excuse for a ship will be up and running and all she'll have to do is find her a pilot that'd be interested in splitting the profits 20-80. After all, she does all the work. A driver just needs gas money. And it looks like payday just hit.

"  --- Paydirt."

she grins, a vicious and impish sort of smile as she spots a cluster of them. They're all out of place, new faces in this haul. What the fuck were they wearing? She has to swallow her laugh, stifle it down before scouting out the area. They've ditched the costumes when the taller one wanders off. It's like watching high schoolers getting dropped off for the first time. How adorable. They don't exactly have anything she wants, the little one is too scrawny to hide anything, the larger one hustling off which left the lanky boy to follow the smaller and --- oh hello, what's this? Now that's just begging to be pilfered. Red eyes narrow towards that pretty little handle. Oh great, her target's on the move. Guess that means she is too.

    " -- oh! Hey, watch where you're going!"

she calls out, breathy as though she's truly scared. Quick fingers are around the handle, pulls it free and quickly stashes it away. She heard how much that one vendor would give to have his hands on it. She's already hurrying away from him, heart pounding in her chest; she always gets a rush.
