Attempting to design another species of a Balmera for one of my comics. Evolved differently from Shays specie’s, they’re taller and have darker bluer skin usually lightly speckled and their helmet horns are more common pointing upwards. From a Balmera species that the Galra Empire failed to enslaved thanks to a certain crew almost 10,000 years ago. Eventually reaching out to Shay’s home and to Voltron and when they visit their Balmera discover that the Castleship has visited it once before.

Also I have no self control and it’s only been 10 minutes and I’ve gotten very attached.

Day 14 of my sketch countdown to Voltron: Legendary Defender season two, featuring the Balmeran siblings, the grumpy Rax , and the sunny Shay . It was definitely fun drawing these two and their alien physique 🤗💕 and Shay is one of my favorite secondary characters from the show. Her gentleness coupled with her bravery and daring is beautiful to watch!
