I think I know why lance thinks him and Keith have a rivalry

So I watched the clip from the sdcc panel where they aired the first episode, and I noticed something.

(Contains spoilers btw)

When Keith was flying the simulator with all the other kids, he was showing off or whatever and he ended up bumping into lance while flying faster and higher, that causes lance to lose points I'm assuming, and with Keith doing that (probably more than once) lance dicided they have a rivalry because Keith didn't hit anyone else (other than that kid he punched which honestly yes Keith, beat his bitch ass) so maybe after they got out into space lance started to realize Keith isn't our for him and trusted him more and now thinks of him as a friend and not an enemy.

Leo thinks he’s better than the other turtles and is fiercely loyal to splinter , Raphael obviously has distinct parallels such as he’s associated with red and he’s impulsive , a battle brawler , jumps quickly to battle

Keith serves a parllel to karai

In the sense that she was working for shredder and was raised as his daughter when in fact she was splinters daughter

Sorta like how Keith thought he was just human and found out he was part galra, the enemy of Voltron

Casey Jones is also a edgy counterpart

He is also Lunk from super robo mecha force five

Shiro: is splinter. , both father , leader figures , both died

I would say lance would be a mix of mikey and leo /
