Petshop of Horrors Volume 1, Chapter 3: DAUGHTER The second chapter that was adapted into an anime. This one was pretty good, but I was sad that the anime director decided to keep it contained inside the parents’ house instead of terrorizing the entire city. Anyway...

First of all, what era are these people living in? No one dressed their daughter like that in the 90′s. No wonder she’s dead, poor thing probably got bullied to hell. They sure accepted D’s insistence that she’s a pet pretty easily. Maybe it’s the incense, maybe their phase of grief has them in extreme denial. Here are the 3 clauses for this contract. The incense is still really important to D’s work here, and also the secrecy. The 3rd one reminds me of Gremlins once again... hmmmmmmmmmmm..... Lastly, I’m noticing the translations are pretty identical between the versions I’m reading. That makes me feel a little better.
