I was on my way home today and ended up being in a traffic jam waiting till the firemen cleared the road for us to pass by a serious wreck. I don't know what this Ford Explorer hit as there weren't any other vehicles around. My guess is it could have been from being airborne and striking a utility pole? The side of the road the truck was on has power poles along it but they are about 15 feet back from the shoulder of the road. It wasn't raining at the time which might have been a good thing. The driver was already gone when I got there and I am hoping that nobody else was in the truck as they would be in serious condition if not worse. Judging from the looks of the truck, the driver had to have been seriously injured or worse. I just hope whatever happened that the driver makes it as I went through a serious accident a few years ago. This is just a reminder that if you are distracted on the road that this could be what you go through if you don't pull over. Earlier this summer I saw another car that had landed on its roof in the ditch because she was texting while driving. The rescue unit had to be called to move the car as the windows of that car were covered by the sides of the ditch and nobody could get her out. It only takes a split second to go from easy to correct the path your are traveling to out of control. Not trying to preach but just saying it can be a life changer for you and anyone else involved.
