An annoyance. Paranoia had proved to be more than baseless fears and, although a follow up suggested mere merriment that that substance in meaning, only daunting realisations remain. An internal shut down has commenced. A pest, irritating the masses with enunciable buzzing. Why hadn’t she shut her darn trap beforehand -- why did she lull herself into a false sense of security? The warning bells had been as loud and clear as every other day, in every other moment. Why on earth did she give this being the benefit of the doubt?
Discussions of Shakespeare had often gone on a tangent in the past -- for it was a topic she had invested much time, money and passion in. Literature and film adaptations of his creations littered the length of her room. His words were her second language. Unlike the majority of mementos within this world of ours, she had never been in the dark in reference to his work. And, assumable, this lack of befuddlement on her behalf, instigated some form of momentary confidence. An unfortunate turn of events.
Igniting the fire of fear, soon enough all reactions were frantic. A wounded deer, stuck in headlights -- she remained still in the scene of the crime. Eventually silent tears were vocalized in frenzied sobs; small, shaking fingers barely containing the crumbling expression upon her delicate features. It was nothing more than a joke, banter worded in a way she could never fully comprehend. Yet, she had dissolved into a mess beneath these feather weight phrases. This is the loudest she’s ever been in front of the other -- choked apologies mingled with the relentless weeping.
