This 2007 Volvo S80 V8 was towed to our shop in a no-start condition, with its alternator completely soaked in oil. Oil leaks from valve cover gaskets, timing cover, and crankshaft oil seals had accumulated overtime and eventually managed to burn out the alternator. Instead of taking the shortcut and just replacing the alternator, we decided to take the bull by the horns and replace all the bad gaskets and seals, including the front and the rear main seals. We also addressed minor coolant leaks and performed an annual service on this beast of an engine. A big shout-out to the owner of this car, who is our long time customer and a passionate auto enthusiast.
