YES OF COURSE!
Okay so there's the obvious parallels: both European nobility, both seen as ladies guys, both criticized for driving too recklessly.
There's also the fact that the only clip of Taffy speaking in english (that I can find) is him talking about Fon (here). We all remember "But slowly in the last year we all discovered that he is a great, talented driver... And I think he is just on the spot of being one of the world's best drivers" right...
Then there's the fact that they spent much of Fon's last day alive talking. I'll just put the Limit quote here (even tho I know you've seen it before):
ALSO! Another detail from the Limit, when Taffy was laid up with an injury after Fon died, he would listen to Fon's interview.
Anyway it's just one of those rarepairs I love that's made of mashing two guys i like together but I think it's cute!
