As someone who lives in the NYC metro area, I'm so sorry you had to come here

I went there by choice, twice actually. Once just for general tourism and the second time to go watch boxing at Madison Square Garden]. I’m not going to say it was super awful or anything because we did do some cool stuff there both times, but I was just struck by how everywhere in Manhattan reeked of piss and how the trash was piled up literally waist deep on the pavement. Obviously it was insanely crowded, as I anticipated, but what I didn’t anticipate was coming into contact with such an ridiculously high ratio of obviously insane people in such a short span of time. I don’t regret the visits but at this point I doubt I’d do it again.

Based on my own experiences, the only way to play the opening New Light mission is to start a new character. So if you're like me and most people (who have characters with progress and gear), you're gonna have to sacrifice one to delete. I've yet to find another way

ALLEGEDLY, it can be a heroic story mission at some point, but I have yet to see a confirmation from that from Bungie themselves? Or at least, I haven’t dug up the confirmation.
