(Thank you ;_; I'm trying to remedy it with some bread and cheese.)
54. Ever eat a pierogi?
The warrior had been out on the grounds chopping wood again. The day wasn’t particularly hot, but the warmth of the Eversong air did little to bring Farwyn any relief from his work out. At least he was at the end of it and gaining the benefit of more fuel to add towards his workshop or the fireplace inside. It also was a nice change of pace to earn permission to take down some of the different trees nearer to the city rather than those in the Ghostlands.
Durai, his overactive war wolf, paced around in a circle as Farwyn did his work. At first he had been idling sniffing about, until abruptly the creature paused and let out a low growl of warning. Far had been ready to swing his ax down again, but he paused and clutched the weapon readily. Trusting his companion’s instincts, he turned to face the side of the forest that the wolf focused upon.
Squinting, the trees almost seemed to darken and the birds around them quieted abruptly. The hairs along Farwyn’s neck stood on end as if some sixth sense was warning him about another’s presence. His knuckles grew white as he held his weapon off to the side, feigning a languid stance when in reality he was going over a checklist in his mind of what could be approaching and how he could utilize his surroundings to his advantage.
Then among the distant darkening shadows, a pale-faced figure stepped forth that brought a splash of familiarity to him. The dark hair, the predatory eyes and the sensation of something wrong announced the man as the same one Farwyn had seen from time to time. Kriegg. There wasn’t even an ounce of trust or a sense of greeting coming from Farwyn as he tilted his head forward, opening his mouth to question the man. However, Kriegg held up a hand as a gesture for Far to wait, before he peeled back his lips and whispered lowly with a tone of utmost seriousness.
”... You ever… ate … a pierogi?"
And then all at once, the dramatic air plummeted as if someone had dropped ice water on both Farwyn, his wolf and the entire forest. The sun illuminated the forest again, the birds ruffled their feathers and started chirping and Durai sneezed. However, Kriegg still held his dramatic stance with a clear expression that he simply needed to know.
"A… a pie row… what?" Farwyn cleared his throat, tilting his head towards the side. What the hell was going on?
"… a pierogi.”
"I don’t know what a pierochumacallit is, but it sounds like some sort of pie. Maybe a spicy pie or some… weirdly conjured mage one. I probably would though, well if it’s real food. None of the magical artificial crap. “

Another slight change from the norm this week, as The organizers of the upcoming Gurubashi Bowl are here to tell us about this event where we can all bash each other in the head!

Well that answer is actually simpler then one would think. Nala as a character was never supposed to exist. Her mother however was the second main that I had EVER, starting back in mid Wrath and still her story is strong but dormant due to her muse taking a sudden nap on me.
The idea started with knowing what Noiryn aka Lillian had done that lead to her death, abandoning her daughter and husband for the sake of her homeland and her sense of honor. Then her father being the ever oblivious emotion driven paladin he was up and chased after her mother full force only to leave their child alone.
...What would that do to someone?
Homeless. Alone. Broke. Starving. Untrained.
That was the original line of thoughts that quickly spun it's web into my mind that lead to the Nala you all know and love today.
