“—Mhm, w h a t e v e r you say.” There was no use in trying to reason with her, or anyone as brightly flushed as that really, at that moment. Not that she was in a state to do so herself. Just not as much; merely feeling that pleasant buzzing and warmth as the alcohol seeped in her system. Ah, what better way to end the week.
She kept chuckling in the back of her throat, the sound drawing out to a small hum as she shifted to set her tankard down eventually, shaking her head lightly. Only to bark out in roaring laughter soon after, joining in that of the other few patrons, slapping a hand on her thigh as she did so. Oh, this was priceless indeed. Shoulders still shook slightly as she tried straightening herself, before patting the back of her hand sympathetically. “Now, now, they’re merely doing you a favor, trust me—- you’llthank them come morning.” Well, she wouldn’t most likely, what with what she hadalready guzzled down. It wasn’t so much about the quantity, rather than the quality of the beverage. It was Black-Briar Mead after all.
She swore the Nords over there were gossiping about her. Usually her hearing didn’t fail her, but everything was wrapped in cotton, so deaf and blind. Astonishing how a sip of that mead turned the capable hunter into a confused child. She hadn’t felt so disoriented in a long time. At least her comrade was enjoying herself. “Favour? You--” She had forgotten the insult before she could utter it, which was probably for the better. Gia being sober, could knock her out now that she was so besides herself.
The barmaid too just refused coming over to Tauriel, even when she gestured and called. It seemed like the entire tavern had decided that she had enough, and her tormented stomach was agreeing. She felt sick and hoped she wasn’t going to make a mess of this place. Bosmer didn’t exactly hold grace in high value like the Altmer did, but puking in public was still nothing she had to try out. “Maybe we should leave.” she mused, forgetting that this was an inn with avilable beds and that she had even bought a room already.
