This is a typical conversation black family members have with their kin because we have been brainwashed to think “voting” solves our problems, but when I brought up the solution that us as black people need to pull our resources together, she said, “I’m for ALL people though...” and that’s why we not getting no damn where. ———————————————————— As much as I love my mother, I have to understand she has been conditioned to think this way as ALL black people have when it comes to voting and being for “all people”. ———————————————————— Through out the conversation, she talks on how voting is important, then she tells me to tell my “Uncle Gary” as if he my father or something 😂 even that , my father or anyone else can’t harass me into voting. As if what he says goes or sum shit... then she gets into how “you can’t believe everything you research”. ———————————————————— NOW, notice how “logical and critical” she got when it came to looking at sources and scholars concerning the presidents being related, but if I was to bring up the Bible the same way, she’d get mad and say “the devil” leading me astray🙄😂 smh.
