2016 foi um ano muito positivo para o Factory - a nossa comunidade cresceu ainda mais, o meu dia-a-dia ficou enriquecido com pessoas novas, novos desafios, estórias para contar...
Mas 2017 promete! Apesar de termos os escritórios privados lotados neste momento, temos ainda 3 mesas disponíveis no Cowork e um infindável “mundo virtual” para quem necessita da nossa morada para a sede da empresa, mas que procura também fazer parte de uma comunidade de criativos!
Quanto às mesas no Cowork já sabes, tens tudo incluído - tens um lugar fixo no Open Space, um armário com chave, uma factura única ao fim do mês com tudo incluído (limpeza, condomínio, internet, salas de reunião, água, luz). Tramstreik in Zürich - vpod verhält sich kindisch
diesen Eintrag möchte ich dazu nutzen um meine eigene Meinung bezüglich den aktuellen Ereignissen rund um den Streik der VBZ-Mitarbeiter kundzutun. Heute morgen wurden die angekündigten Drohungen des Verband des Personals Öffentlicher Dienste VPOD, tatsächlich in die Tat umgesetzt. Zwar war die Störaktion nur punktuell und von kurzer Dauer, aber die Tatsache alleine, dass ein Streik nicht nur angedroht, sondern wirklich umgesetzt wird, finde ich für ein Schweizer Unternehmen, dass einen öffentlichen Auftrag wahrnimmt, eher beschämend. Natürlich nehme ich mir nicht die Freiheit die Forderungen der vpod zu beurteilen ohne alle Einzelheiten zu kennen - gut möglich, dass vielleicht wirklich einige Punkte in den Arbeitsbedingungen der VBZ diskutierbar sind - deswegen aber den Handlungstisch zu verlassen und dafür irgendwelche Tramdepots beim Irchel zu blockieren, gehört sich nicht.
Wenn die momentan in den Medien kursierenden Zahlen bezüglich dem Verdienst (6000-8000.- CHF) eines Tramfahrers halbwegs stimmen, verstehe ich noch weniger, wieso man einen solchen Job durch einen Streik gefährden möchte.
Besonders gerne wüsste ich, wie die vpod die Kunden - also uns Tramfahrer - bei einer solchen Störaktion miteinbezieht. Wir müssen also mit Verspätungen, nicht fahrenden Trams und unfreundlichen VBZ-Mitarbeitern klarkommen? Wieso? Haben wir euch was getan? Wohl kaum...
VPOD: 1940's satin bow gala dress from Be my vintage
A while back I discovered a nice small webshop from Belgium called Be my vintage. I bought such a cute jacket there from the 1940's but it didn't fit my complexion and 34E cup very well... (I am now reselling it here). They have a small but nice collection of beautiful dresses and for very good prices as well. At least I don't think 149,95 Euro for this 1940's satin bow gala dress is that overpriced comparing it with dresses from US webshops that specialize in old frocks! It's their highest priced item in the store so you'll find prices that are suitable for every kind of spender. Today's VPOD could be a great purchase for the real vintage lover, collector, fashion designer or gala visiter! I love love love looooove the bows on this dress!

The vintage Guru - How it begins!
Since I have a lot of love for and experience in buying vintage and selling vintage in my (web)shop Viva Vintage, friends call me the 'vintage guru'. Whether online or in the 'flesh, in the Netherlands (where I live) or abroad, I'm always hunting for vintage! That is why I decided it would be fun to share my finds, tips and experiences and ofcourse show you updates from my shop ones in a while...
VPOD
By sharing my finds I'm hoping to a) save money because whenever I see something I really really like I want to BUY it and that is not always a good idea. At least not according to my wallet and my bankaccount... So by sharing whatever great encounter from the internet (and hopefully get a respond from enthousiastic readers) will satisfy that urge! At least a little bit, we shall see. And b) it would be really great to help out other vintage lovers like you to find a way through the big big world of vintage! The finds I like but won't be buying I will name VPOD, Vintage Post of the Day. Finds I did buy I will try to post in kind of 'outfit' posts.
Tips and experiences
Whenever I'm on vacation or abroad for business I try to visit as many sources for vintage like e.g. vintage or second hand shops and boutiques, thriftstores and markets. The photos of these places attract a lot of questions when I post them on my Facebook page. Everyone wants to know where it was and ask me if I have tips on where to go when they're travalling to Berlin, London etc. I have every good adress written in a book somewhere and I will be posting them here too, as well as places I want to visit in the future.
