“How did you do it?”
Fledgling Duo!
I think I'm happy enough with these iterations to finally move on!
To redrawing Owen!
Nothing bad happened... Not at all...
"he could've been better, but couldn't we all?"
For anyone thinking it's over, IT'S NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER
We need to keep going and voting Pyro until the time runs out!
I'm back from doing my responsibilities and am joining all the brave warriors fighting on the front lines!
KEEP VOTING PYRO!!!
Abolish HCs for my "Nothing Bad Happens, They All Leave, and Bloodletting is Happy" AU except not only is Bloodletting happy, SO IS FIRELOCKE. GO MY GAYS (if you recognize this intro no you don'tttttt):
He has a wall of guns. Yes I bring this up in the Pyro HCs, but I mean he literally just has a wall in a room that is just fully guns. All different types, all are functional and kept in really good condition, all have corresponding ammo in boxes under them. Abolish only uses this one hand held gun or a crossbow. Nothing else.
Pyro likes to look at the wall. No this is not about Abolish, but I feel it's important to reiterate. Pyro can't shoot for shit but he likes looking at them all. They be shiny.
Abolish does not want Pyro close to the agency, even multiple years after Pyro is reforming. He doesn't trust either of them to stay alive after interacting with each other.
The black dye/split dye hair is because he doesn't like the full white as much but he ran out of dye and ended up liking the split dye unironically.
He likes baths. Likes them a lot, because even though showers are more practical, he has fond memories of baths and being taken care of. (Not that he lets anyone take of him anymore *cough cough* TRAUMA *cough cough*)
Pyro likes to wash Abolish's curls out. (In the bath, the sink, regardless of where.) because Abolish doesn't take care of them as much cause of missions, and the first time he has them done the right way (Poor man never learned how cause he thought it was unimportant.) Pyro falls in love all over again and Abolish realizes he isn't actually as ugly as he thought (ABOLISH YOU'RE SO PRETTY I SWEAR YOU AREN'T UGLY)
Never actually documents Pyro in the agency. At first it's because he wants to be able to help him fully in whatever is an option before Pyro gets killed (Abolish fully believes Pyro can change.) and then later because he doesn't want to get yelled at for dating a vampire. (An undocumented one at that!)
As much as Pyro likes Abolish's curls, Abolish's favorite thing to do is to be on the couch after a long day, reading in front of the fire, with Pyro's head in his lap. He can just stroke Pyro's hair while he reads. It puts Pyro to sleep and Abolish loves the simple point of contact because it grounds him as well.
Is the first one to say "I love you." You can't convince me otherwise. Pyro is so devoted, but is also really bad at communicating. So is Abolish, but he never wants Pyro to feel unloved. Ever.
whenever I go back to pyro’s episode one and hear vpyro’s nervous swallow and his “…what’s up? what’s going on?” i put a hole through my monitor. i’ve gone through eight monitors in the last week
Thinking about the fact that logically, V!Pyro was Avid’s saving grace.
V!Avid was a horrible person. I’ve talked about that a lot I don’t wanna repeat it lmfao
but also, they were more of narrative foils than Avid and Owen.
They were both paranoid, haunted by their past (and their victims) and yet hopeful that Oakhurst could be a new start.
Avid’s paranoia was loud, blaring. He was sowing discourse before the first night even passed, yelling about vampires and silver. Pyro’s paranoia was quiet, he was reserved. Didn’t make himself noticed. Both Avid and Pyro needed attention, but Avid actively drew it while Pyro simply hoped.
They both fell under Scott’s grip, of course, they both fell to Scott’s manipulation. The difference is that SCOTT decided who his favorite one was, and was not shy about hiding it.
Avid was going down a dark path. He arrived at Oakhurst paranoid, ostracizing anyone he viewed as “other”, and said if he was turned into a vampire he’d never side with them. Episode 6 FLIPPED THAT ON IT’S HEAD. He was suddenly willing, EXCITED even, to burn Oakhurst down.
By Ep 6, both Pyro and Avid hated the residents of Oakhurst. By Episode 7, Pyro hated Avid more than he hated the residents of Oakhurst.
The monstrosity that everyone at Oakhurst viewed Pyro as, the apathetic and psychotic vampire, was what Avid would’ve become. If anything, his death was a gift. It stopped Avid’s reputation from being dulled and tarnished, by the man whose reputation was 6 feet under long before the pit was dug.
