Holden Commodore (VR), 1993 - The new VR Commodore appeared in July 1993. Styling was heavily updated from the outgoing VP model; heavily restyled front and rear ends, and re-shaped third side windows, as well as a round rear wheelarch were the noteworthy improvements. A slew of updates occurred beneath the bodywork, too. ABS was now available, as was a driver’s airbag (the first Australian car to do so). A new trim level, the Acclaim, was introduced and was positioned between the base Executive and higher-spec Berlina. New Calais and Statesman models also appeared. The VR Commodore won the @wheelsaustralia Car of the Year for 1993. #holden #vrcommodore #wheelscaroftheyear https://www.instagram.com/p/BvVtfojlK9u/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=14qv49dmksx1d
