More Gauntlet post-canon stuff, this time with the interspecies lesbians. I can’t wait to actually write this story so these two can be disgustingly cute and happy together at the end.

Can you tell us more about the evil dns ladies? How do they realize they have feelings for one another? Have you thought it out owo?

I have thought about them quite a bit lately, but I need to figure it out in a more concrete way. I think of the two, Yllarah is the first to realize it, but she’s in denial for a LONG time. Her whole reason for being banished was that Cylox fell in love with a human and rebelled, and now SHE’S in love with a human?? Awful. Obviously there must be some mistake.

Vree takes longer to realize it, I think. She immediately is in awe of Yllarah and thinks she’s so badass and cool, but she’s pretty dense, so she keeps thinking things like, “wow Lar is so awesome and smart and strong and beautiful, I can’t stop thinking about her… it must be because we’re such great friends!” Like, she just doesn’t process that her feelings are romantic, kind of like a kid developing their first crush. She just thinks she’s neat! So neat. Man, why is she so neat?

So Yllarah tries to distance herself from Vree and comes off as pretty mean, and Vree is pretty hurt so they have a falling out for a bit, but eventually something dramatic happens with the real big threat of the story, and they have to defend each other and finally come to terms with how they feel for each other.
