She'd finished hers as well, with little more than a few drops on her shirt left of it. "Geez, what a trip. I thought you knew this place better. I haven't been to this part of town before," she muttered as they neared the arcade.
"Hey, gimme a break, everything looks a lot different from down here." He replied, in his own defense. “At least we got here!..Now let’s go inside, I wanna have fun." So with that he pulled her into the building, throwing them both into a world of noises of all kinds, accompanied by lights in every colour of the rainbow and then some. Kids were shouting and laughing as they played and raced from game to game, immediately getting Tain excited enough to bounce on his heels.
"You're handsome when you're older. As a 13 year old, you're adorable. Now where's that arcade you wanted to go to?" she asked, gazing around at the various houses and shops.
Twisting his lips in thought he looked around. “Uuummm…Not…too far..I don’t think. Uh." He looked around. “Let’s go this way." So they walked up the street, took a couple of turns and were generally just wandering around aimlessly; they’d taken so long that Tain had enough time to finish off his cone. It took them a while and Tain had probably caused them to get lost more than once, but they did eventually find it. “There it is!" He exclaimed, suddenly proud of himself.
She squeezed his hand gently and giggled a bit. "You're so cute," she laughed lightheartedly as she licked at her ice cream.
Tain pouted defiantly over at her. “M’ not cute…I’m handsome."
