Tabi was very shocked you survived the explosion, especially considering the condition he found you in
He was originally just going to just end you right then and there, as you were extremely injured. However, something stopped him from doing that. The way you looked up at him with those cute little fear stricken eyes, the way you trembled in the corner as the fire burned relentlessly around you, he just couldn't bring himself to kill you. As much as every inch of him was screaming for himself to, he just couldn’t
So, he threw you over his shoulder and made his way out of the restaurant and away from the danger. You were too weak and traumatized to struggle, which he was thankful for. It made things so much easier, he couldn’t have you struggling to get away from him when all he wanted to do was ensure your survival
His original plan was to just keep you until he thought you were healed enough, to keep you until he was sure you could make it on your own. No matter how many times you beg him to let you go, the answer would always be the same - “Not until you’re better”
However, that “not until you’re better” quickly turned into a cold and unsympathetic “never”
He slowly began to realize something - you were far different than the others, so much more different than her
Tabi decided to himself that he needed to keep you, to keep you safe. You were too pure for this world, too innocent and sweet. The world didn’t deserve you. Nobody but him deserved to be in your presence, let alone living on the same planet as you at all
Tabi is extremely possessive over you. You’re his, you belong to him, and he’s constantly reminding you of that fact. He just can’t lose you. Tabi couldn’t imagine what he would do if you somehow got away from him, and if he couldn’t have you right by his side anymore. The world brightened, everything brightened as soon as you entered his life. He just couldn’t lose you
He’d go to extreme lengths to keep you by his side, just like he went to extreme measures to ensure his ex laid dead, even though she somehow still got away along with that new toy of her’s. However, all the anger that he held for her seemed to move away from the front of his mind. He didn’t care for her anymore, all his thoughts were slowly consumed by none other than you
Tabi won’t hesitate to hurt you or the ones you love, when he learns who they are and where they live, that is. But, you don’t blame him do you? He just needs you so desperately, he can’t bring himself to care about the smaller details like “morals” and “mercy” and such. He can ignore the screams of pain and the begs of mercy he hears from those he hurts, for it is all for you. Everything he does, it’s all for you and you alone. Whether it’s to teach you a lesson or just to simply prove his devotion, it’s all for you
It’s okay that you claim to hate him now. It’s okay that all of his efforts are going so terribly unappreciated. For he knows that soon all that fight in you will denigrate, and the (Y/N) that sat so prettily around the flames of Tabi’s explosion will return to him, and he’ll get to see those cute eyes of your sparkle once more. However, instead of fear filling them, this time it’ll be pure love
