Yusaku is very tired, getting ready to head to classes. Meanwhile Ai is frustrated by some dumb captcha-thingie keeping him from his stories. XD

Ai was practically buzzing with excitement beside Yusaku as they trawled the various corridors of the linen shop’s displays. It was just so big! And there were so many interesting textures everywhere, Ai could hardly stand still as he followed Yusaku along as they looked for new refurbishments for their new apartment.
This place had everything from fine silk to regular old cotton to fluffy polyester in everything and anything. Pillow cases, foot stools, rugs, and more. Ai was determined to touch it all at least once. Yusaku was not quite so incentivised as he just scoured the place with his eyes, checking price tags before he checked the quality of the item itself. He was not quite the gung-ho sensory seeker that Ai was as he thoroughly enjoyed this chance to be in public with Yusaku - and acting like the couple they were no less.
As much as Ai loved his more costume-like everyday wear, it was a bit too inconspicuous for such a dull and domestic outing like going to buy homeware essentials. So, he was in a turtleneck and jeans, all his robotic-joints of his SOLtiS body safely hidden away under soft wool and worn denim. He and Yusaku looked quite good together in his similar casual wear of jeans a hoodie too, in Ai’s opinion. They must look like quite the pair of honeymoon phase lovebirds from an outside perspective as they wandered about collecting things and just generally doing couple things, like holding hands.
For every hand Ai had in a pile of cushions or stuffed animals, he also kept his other hand on Yusaku as they ambled about in search of new decorations. They were holding hands, coiled up around each other, generally keeping shoulder to shoulder, even if one had his head in the clouds and the other was searching far more realistically than that. For now, they were looking for new bedding and maybe some new towels for both the kitchen and the bathroom. Just small touches like that but Ai, naturally, had huge ideas.
This was going to be their first love nest! They had finally moved out of Yusaku’s crummy, high school era apartment and into something which didn’t have a single crack in the wall and had fantastic heating and kindly seeming neighbours. It really felt like their prospects were looking up and for the better. All in the form of a place they could really, truly call their own and host parties and spend quality time with each other in every way, shape, and form. Ai wanted nothing but the best for himself and Yusaku. Yusaku just wanted to make sure to have money for rent and dinner afterwards, needing neither sleep nor food, Ai often forgot that.
“Ooh, what about these ones?” Ai asked. “Doesn’t it look so warm and cosy, a real statement piece if you ask me.”
Yusaku just glared. This was absolutely, definitely not what he had in mind to buy for himself - and despite what Ai seemed to think, it was for himself. He just stared at the item that Ai had picked out from the various blocks of doonas all packaged up in plastic and piled on one another. He had chosen a very Gothic-looking doona pattern which depicted a black and purple laden fairy with pale, eerie skin and she was holding a skull in one hand and a rose in the other. Her expression was melancholic, her clothes torn and decrepit, her butterfly-like wings were limp and glistening in the middle of a murky swamp that frayed at the edge. It would have looked good in an emo teenage girl’s bedroom. Yusaku was none of those things.
“No.” he said flatly.
“Aw, why? It's dramatic, theatrical, and look at that thread count, its quality for its price.” Ai begged.
“It's just not to my tastes.” Yusaku told him.
“You're no fun.” Ai pouted and his eyes continued to scan the selection in front of them both. And then he saw something that caught his attention again, making his pupils dilate and a grin pop up on his face again. “What about this one?” he asked.
He pushed a couple of bricks of bedding out of the way and showed off one that was just barely visible through the stack. He picked it up and showed its design off to Yusaku and Yusaku actually didn’t mind it. It was nice. Tasteful, subtle, that sort of thing.
The bedding set that Ai had picked out this time was of a dark, muted purple with grey geometric designs that implied a nighttime scene of the moon and stars. It mightn’t have been quite as mature than if it was just the dark, muted purple colour but it was a good compromise for the master bedroom that they were both looking for so it was more than acceptable.
“I like it.” Yusaku smiled.
“See, I knew you would.” Ai puffed out his chest as he laid the bedding box in their trolley. “I could be an interior designer one day, you know.”
“Hm, really? What would you call your business then? Interior Design by the Purple People Eater?” Yusaku indulged him as he got out his notebook from his back pocket so he could tick one item off his list. They only had a couple more things left to buy and if he was lucky, only things which he had written down prior to leaving their new apartment would end up in their trolley by the end of it but at the same time. It was fun to indulge Ai sometimes.
“Why yes, actually, that’s a very good name for my designs.” Ai teased.
“Good. Then why don’t we go to the bathroom section next and pick out some towels.” Yusaku said. “And if you do a good job at staying under budget, I’ll let you pick out some bric-a-brac even.”
Ai’s eyes flashed, excited, “Yes, that sounds great. I’ll find us the cutest soap dispensers next, don’t you worry. Or a nice jar to keep your toothbrush in.” Ai gushed, sounding very determined.
“Sounds good.” Yusaku agreed, a small and amused smile pricking at his lips, as he let Ai lead the charge to the next section of the shop and he moseyed along after Ai.
