In conclusion to my work of all the semseter I decided to do an art piece that strayed away from the projector. I played with the use of color and design to represent the clean cut technique that I use in my work. This was also play on contrast with color and the clean lines that somehow create the illusion that the shapes are not perfectly balanced. The flow diagonally to represent energy thus in itself represent my work.

INQUIRY: (What I'm doing and why)

Through my work I am investigating color, balance, and design.

Color specifically drive my process, cause I try to find what is pleasing to the eye of the viewer in relation to the shape of the subjects.

Visually my ideas are expressed in a manner of feeling, rather it be through typography or technique. I am investigating the idea of not using words to compliment the work in getting the idea across but rather letting the work convey the message on its own through design.

PROCESS: (How I'm doing it)

I am using more techniques such as transparencies, layers and colors in my designs, with less and less typography as I continue the process.

CONTEXT: (Where my work fits)

In graphic design history, I would not say my work can be formally critiqued because the process is all done in the state of mind using design.

Promotional/ marketing in a cultural context.

I am not responding to any art movements, I am doing this for me in an exploration to convey messages successfully.

*1. QUOTE - “The traditional museum system is ambivalent in relation to the desire for nonidentity. On the one hand, the museum offers to the artist a chance to transcend his or her own time, with all its taxonomies and nominal identities. The museum promises to carry the artist’s work into the future. However, the museum betrays this promise at the same moment it fulfills it.”

2. COMMENT (100 word minimum) - I chose this quote because I thought it related in a business sense towards artists. I believe the quote reflects upon the hard truth museums have about artists and use them for their popularity during the trend of the time, however can we really blame them.I haven't related in that way because I am not entirely an artist who shows or would show work in a gallery or museum setting.

3. QUESTION/S (50 word minimum) - Is there a way to avoid this as an artist ? Aside form a business aspect do museums have some kind of morals or loyalty towards artists where despite the attraction they keep the collection of that specific artist?
