first, let me apologize for the radio silence on our end — the mods’ lives are a little busy at the moment! that said, i have some free time, so i hope y’all won’t mind if i take a crack at some of the asks you’ve sent in! ~ mod malkavian

Ah, youth.

They either learn quickly or die screaming; if Beckett has learned anything about fledglings and neonates within the Camarilla, it is surely this. Among the Anarchs, there is perhaps a greater chance of survival — assuming they cross no other Kindred who more highly uphold the unspoken laws of their kind. The others, perhaps, are too well overseen to fail their lessons.

But this poor unlucky childe has had the misfortune of falling neatly under whip and lash of the Ivory Tower and, alas, is learning on their feet, no time to sleep or consider their next move for fear of delaying too long to make another. And all this without even the cursory watchful eye of a sire.

Still, they find time to dawdle near him, careful not to impede his work, his examinations of the sarcophagus, always just out from under his elbow, the nervous, copper-rich, dead smell of them filling his nose to the point of excluding all else.

“Must you linger?” he says, a bit more gruffly, world-weary, than he perhaps intended.

They seem taken aback, perhaps insulted, perhaps hurt, affronted in some way. He could have been gentler, but then that’s never been his style. 

“Sorry. It’s just quiet.” They rub the back of their neck and glance aside. “Reminds me of home.”

“Here? This self-indulgent wasteland of taste?” Beckett snorts.

“No. Well, not here, exactly.” They shift next to him; he feels the movement of their clothes, unwashed and thin with too much wear, not enough clean and rest. “I just meant. You know. Everyone else wants something.”

“Everyone wants something,” he corrects.

“No. Not you. Not from me, anyway.” The fledgling bristles, almost like their namesake ruffling feathers in irritation. “I’m sick of it,” they continue in a rush. “I’m tired of being used. I don’t like being his pawn. I can’t stand it. I hate it — I wish I’d never been changed!”

Beckett waits. Studies a pattern of markings on the sarcophagus. The fledgling breathes erratically beside him, and he waits. For that reflexive breathing to slow and even out, for the echo of their words in the fine, aggrandizing halls of the boy prince’s tower to fade away.

“Are you finished?” he asks, finally turning to look at them with his piercing red eyes.

The fledgling nods, their eyes brimming pink with tears. Frustration? Sadness? Despair.

“Good.” Beckett adjusts his glasses. “Now listen: It isn’t this life that you hate. This existence. It’s the kindred you surround yourself with. They’ll make any existence miserable. So you have to bear it for now. So what? Time marches on, immemorial. And so do we, if we’re smart.”

He regards the fledgling coolly, though there is something like affection stirring grimly in his chest.

“This is not your permanent state. Remember that — and live long enough to see it change.”

can we get imagines about what it's like to be friends with the anarch crew?

Sure thing!

Lets start with Jack and Nines, mostly because there the easiest to write for.Nines is kind of overprotective of you, I mean I wouldn’t blame him; you get into a lot of trouble for someone who just became immortal. He’ll joke around with you and stuff though, sometimes he’ll even share a couple things from his passed if you guys become close, but he is truly looking out for and wants to make sure nothing is going to put your life on the line. If I had to describe how he acts around you it be an older brother who is overprotective of you when you start dating.Jack is like that one Uncle who does stupid and crazy crap just to put a smile on your face even though he gets injured in the process. He loves to make you laugh, that’s his go-to move when you hang around him. Don’t get me wrong, he will beat the ever-loving shit out of anyone who lays a finger on you but if your upset over something he’ll most likely tell you a joke or prank the others so you don’t feel like crap.

Damsel is that friend who you go because you want to rant or gossip, she’ll do the same to you if you allow her, definitely the more “creative” Anarchs when it comes to people she hates. She’ll be less annoyed or angry if you come to see her. She appreciates having an ear that’ll listen when no one else will.

Skelter is that weird friend who has a million conspiracy theories and kind of just bounces them off you to see how it sounds (also bc keeping theories to yourself is boring and you gotta share that shizz bc opinions matter) He will also talk your ear off about things and you will mostly listen, it would be pretty fun and enjoyable for both of you to share your theories on things; plus if you take care of that ghoul thing he knows to come with you if he needs something done quietly.

One Last Appeal

Nines Rodriguez x Reader

Words: 426 Plot: Nines goes out looking for the fledgling after Ventrue Tower blows up. He’s worried he’s lost her forever. A/N: I got asked a while back to write more Nines and Vampire: The Masquerade stuff. And I did the thing! I hope you like it. I love the community for this and am happy to be here.

Nines felt the explosion in his bones before he saw it; a pillar of fire and smoke rising from Ventrue Tower, debris raining across downtown L.A. He’d known this would happen, of course; he’d had some idea that Jack would load up the sarcophagus with god knows whatever he had and blow LaCroix sky high.

There were only a few unknowns, and there was a fucking big one weighing on Nines’ mind as he limped down the high street, the scars on his face and body still fresh from that werewolf taking a chunk out of him.

Was she alive?

Damsel thought he’d gone soft, and maybe he had. But the kid was something special; she made him feel like he was somebody. He’d always been somebody, no two ways about that. His name - for better or worse - was all over the city. But with her, he felt like he mattered. He didn’t know if she felt the same; never had the time to ask. Business, then pleasure.

And now, the fire engulfing the tower, he wondered if she’d made it out. If she’d burned in there with LaCroix.  He wondered if any of it would mean anything if she was gone.

He came to a stop down the street; listening as the sound of cop sirens got closer. He didn’t want to be around when they were looking for survivors and found he wasn’t quite alive. But he had to find her. “Kid!” he called out, collapsing against the brickwork of an alleyway. His throat ached in protest; his wounds were still healing and his body craved blood. But he could hardly think of that now. His head started to spin. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt this weak; this vulnerable. He knew dawn was coming soon and he’d have to make it back to The Last Round, with or without her.

“Nines!” Nines turned, his eyesight muddled and his head hazy. Despite that; he’d know that voice anywhere. He’d followed that voice all over L.A.  He’d follow it anywhere. Anywhere at all. “(y/n)” he breathed, pressing a hand to his side. This must’ve been the first time he’d ever used her name. He liked the way it sounded on his lips as relief washed over him. “I thought-” “I know. But it’s over, Nines. We did it” she grinned, slumping down next to him in the dingy light of the alleyway. The sound of sirens was approaching; but they were out of sight. And if they weren’t, they just looked like two well-dressed drug addicts. Just another pair of ghosts.

“You look like shit” she mused, wiping her mouth on her sleeve. Nines could smell her blood - copper and incense, all strange in his nose. “Been worse. Been better” Nines spat, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers “tell me you knew Jack would blow the fucking building”. (y/n) chuckled, pausing for a moment. “I…considered it a very big possibility. I legged it the hell out of there just in case. Turns out my instincts were pretty spot on”. “Jack and I are going to have words” Nines sighed, wincing slightly.

“Wait a minute-” she started, her hair falling over her shoulder as she turned to him “-you used my name.” Nines smiled slightly, his teeth pushing down on his lip. “Don’t get too used to it, kid. They’ll think I’m going soft.” (y/n) shrugged off her jacket, folding it in her lap as she looked back at the tower. He could smell the smoke on her hair; see the sharp curve of her cheekbone illuminated by the streetlamp. “What now?” she asked, her voice seemingly very distant and far away. Nines lifted a hand, brushing the backs of his fingers against her hairline. He swallowed, hard. His fangs stuck into his lip as he tensed his jaw. “Whatever you want to happen” he muttered, his eyes trailing to her lips. She turned to him, her eyes glinting.

“This” she breathed, pushing her lips to his.

When the sun rose and the police scoured the scene; the alley was empty. A new day dawned on Los Angeles, the sun shining brightly in the sky.

LaCroix x reader pt 2

[finally getting this up here. Just something I think I forgot to say on the first one, this is slightly based on the story of My Fair Lady, so the reader insert is a bit headstrong and has no real inclination of fancy society manners, something that LaCroix seeks to change as he is seen as the surrogate sire.]

The following night started with the sound of many things crashing, doors slamming open, and thunderous footfalls of frantic running. All that you were aware of happening was suddenly being cornered by someone that you had gone out with, and waking up in an unfamiliar place. Truthfully, if you were to stop and think a bit more, you would have remembered a fuzzy time of being somewhere else, somewhere much dingier than the lux penthouse you were now in; however, you could not be troubled with stopping to think as you were too busy flailing about in pursuit of an exit. Realistically, this apartment, though fancy for an apartment, wasn’t even that much larger that a typical one-story house. It was the panic that was making it labyrinthine.

You must have been borderline frenzied and bouncing back and forth between the same three rooms somehow, and LaCroix saw his life grow more difficult by the second as you struggled to do something as menial as open a new door. Eventually, the door leading into his office finally flung open, causing the sheriff’s hands to twitch instinctively and calm themselves before he carried out his usual means of violent protection. You stood there and stared at the two of them, trying to parse out something of your situation. Not wanting to afford any more of his time for you to try to come to conclusions yourself (something that would be virtually impossible seeing the circumstances). LaCroix stood from his chair to introduce himself and start your journey into understanding your new life. “Good evening. I am sure that you are wondering-“

“WHO ARE YOU CLOWNS AND WHERE AM I?!”

LaCroix’s cheek flexed slightly as he kept an irritated nose twitch in check. He should have surmised that you might have reacted with something like this given the prior events. Taking a deep breath, he went to start again. “As I was saying: I’m sure that you are wondering what exactly-“

“I’LL FIGHT YOU!” You interrupted once again.

“You will not.” LaCroix scolded and gave a subtle signal to the sheriff to watch you. “What you are going to do is listen.” You both eyed each other contemplatively, while the sheriff kept his own, less involved watch on you both. It seemed that you were finally starting to calm down, even if only a little, and if you were indeed at least somewhat reasonable then you would soon be settled into hearing LaCroix out.

“No,” you said not so reasonably in a confident tone. It was a good thing that LaCroix had told the sheriff to keep an eye on you, because as for himself, the prince found the outright refusal of his demands dumbfounding, thus making him slow in reaction. Of course, he didn’t use any of his unearthly powers that were readily available to force you into obedience, but usually with kindred that were this new to everything he didn’t have to. Seeing as the sheriff stopped you as you were already partway out the main door and heading for the elevator leading out of the penthouse, it would seem that he would need to employ such means at the beginning of your tutorship at the very least.

If anything could be said about the sight of you desperately trying to fight your way out of the sheriff’s hold, it was that LaCroix got to see his guard’s impressive strength played to its full potential very rarely these nights, and the fact that he could so easily subdue you with a single arm holding you over his shoulder where you couldn’t reach anything that could actually hurt him though out all your kicking and scratching was an entertaining reminder of that. Once you were back standing on your two feet in front of LaCroix, the sheriff now holding both of your arms to your sides so that you were completely confined, it was time to finally tell you what was going on; this time without the planned pleasantries and flourishes as LaCroix had no desire to be interrupted again nor did he want to drag out this debacle more than it had already gone.

“Listen well, you mule-headed degenerate. You are no longer human. You are no longer alive.” Usually, things were broken to neonates more delicately if the situation did not call for a purposeful mental collapse, which in this case it did. He needed to catch your attention, and he most certainly had it now. “You have been transformed into something other than you were- something that many dream of becoming- a higher being- a kindred.” Your face contorted in disturbance at his words. “So, what? I’ve gotten myself sucked into some sort of cult? Just my damn luck!” You spat out, not necessarily to him but certainly in a manner that was supposed to be heard by him. “No, you are now what you might have known in your old life as a vampire.” LaCroix corrected. You once again stared blankly at him. This staring lasted a few beats before you looked like you had calmed considerably. Then, in your newly acquired calm attitude, you monotoned, “You’re completely nuts.” More so in a tone of realization rather than horror, though that certainly was an undertone.

“Perhaps it seems so at the moment, but you must listen to what I have to tell you. Perhaps it would clear some things for you.” LaCroix was trying his best to be civil, but at this point, he was not the fondest of you. And, you, while a bit more on the frazzled side at the time, still were aware enough to get the pandering tone that it was said in. Something else that you were acutely aware of is that as long as their attention was on you, there would be no way that you were going to get away from here. So, your best bet was to try and play along with whatever they wanted you to do- if that’s playing Dracula then that’s what you would do; certain activities barring that is. That made it where you were finally going to be still and listen, much to LaCroix’s relief. “See? You can be reasonable if you put in the effort.” LaCroix was snide with his comment and were you not now concerned with the state of your well-being, you would have said something about his tone. Not caring about your feelings any more than he cared for anyone else’s, LaCroix was content on simply continuing. “When you were turned into your current state, the person that did so was deemed a threat. They were promptly dealt with in the appropriate manner, and I most graciously offer to take you into my care, much to the surprise and distaste of others involved in your fate.” This was partially true- he did offer to take you in, perhaps not as eagerly or altruistically as he proposed, but you didn’t need to nor were ever going to know that. “This came with the caveat that you were to be taught to be a proper member of not only kindred society but the greater general society. Your compliance with this will be what determines whether you live or not.” The last part was actually somewhat sincere, not out of concern for you per se, but rather in concern for his own reputation as well as pressing the serious nature of the situation.

This was all very concerning and confusing. Seeing as it was such, you fell back onto sarcasm. “I thought you said I had already died.” It was a genuine question masked to hide your nerves. It seemed that this wasn’t taken too well, as there was a nod of some kind to the sheriff and you were suddenly being carried back towards the part of the penthouse that you had woken up in. While you were being walked away, LaCroix informed you, “This is the sort of obstinate attitude that you must be broken of. You will spend the rest of the evening in your room. For your own sake, you had better be more civil when you leave it.” It seemed that the sheriff walked slowly enough that he could be sure that you heard everything that LaCroix had to say.

You went back to the room kicking and screaming. LaCroix didn’t see this, but he could tell from the sounds of it. This was not going well. It wasn’t that he was not used to people fighting against him, but that he wasn’t used to having someone fight him this ardently and having nothing that he could really do about it. It wasn’t just that he couldn’t do anything, it was that he was actually supposed to be at least somewhat cordial with you. It would be exceedingly difficult to achieve that seeing as things went so awry tonight that he wasn’t even able to introduce himself. He needed to rethink his approach to this; it was expected that you might have had a difficult first night as everyone does, however, you were particularly volatile. If there was one thing that LaCroix could be thankful for it’s that you had already fed before you were captured and brought to him. He couldn’t begin to think of how you would be if you were fighting off the inner beast as well. All he needed to do right now, however, was to get through his usual work for the night, which would be more difficult than usual with you going on a warpath in the other room.

Reacting to the fledgling having too much yarn. Like copious amounts of yarn. Enough to where they may need an intervention. So much yarn.

Camarilla

Strauss- When he saw the large container in your room of the chantry he thought it was magic supplies. When he saw how heavy it was he was sure of it. When you open it and there's nothing but yarn it kind of confuses him. The only question he manage to say is, "Why?"

Nosferatu

Bertram- He was looking through your stuff to swipe something and thought the container was a good place to start. When he opened it he thought you just put a layer of yarn balls to hide something else. So he emptied it, but there was only yarn. Why do you have so much yarn?

Anarchs

Damsel- She thinks it's cool you like to make stuff and asks you to show her how. When you say yes and that she can go pick out a color she's excited. But, then, she is overwhelmed. How many colors are there here? How many sizes and textures? How will she ever choose?

Independents

Beckett- Usually he's more prone to wolf instincts, but when he sees all that yarn cat mode is activated. It takes hours to untangle and clean up. Don't let Beckett near your yarn.

Other

Pisha- Being rather spider-like she enjoys messing with/making things with the yarn like a web(she makes so many doilies). Unlike Beckett, however, she's very neat and tidy with it.

Vampires to a sudden kiss

[Where the kindred goes "Hey." to get their attention and then kisses them.]

Camarilla

Therese- Well, that was nice. Back to business now.

LaCroix- Excuse you?! Do you think one little kiss is enough? You will be compensated for this later.

Sheriff- he just smirks. You can be sneaky sometimes.

Strauss- Depends. If it's in front of other people he'll be an embarrassed mess and will scold you to behave yourself. If the two of you are alone this kiss will be a bit longer than you were planning.

Nosferatu

Imalia- this kills the Imalia

Mitnick- he is confused. Didn't you want to ask him something? Did you forget?

Bertram- Aren't you full of surprises? Not that he minds at all. Especially if the surprise involves him getting a kiss.

Barabbas- he would do it right back to you.

Gary- Wouldn't react much at first, but later he would sneak up to you later and pull you into a sweeping kiss when you least expect it.

Anarchs

Jeanette- She will absolutely love this! Do it all the time!

Damsel- Stoooop! Okay, don't actually, but still...

Skelter- okay, you've had your fun, now settle down.

Jack- you wanna try that again? Be prepared to be busy for awhile if you do.

Nines- His hand would shoot behind your head as you were starting to pull away and bring you right back. There was no way you were getting away that easily.

Independents

Vivi- oh, she would be a wreck! That was so sweet! She can't handle it!

Ash- Uh, thanks. But, you might want to watch out for a swarm of angery fan-girls of you do this in public.

Isaac- well, that certainly was a surprise! It seems like he has something to tell you as well. Any guesses at what it is?

Beckett- you should have gotten his attention sooner! He would be more than glad to pursue this subject to its fullest extent.

Other

Andrei- you better not start something that you're not willing to follow through with. He will take this little kiss and run with it.

Pisha- She would give you a small kiss back and go back to what she's doing. Will always return the kiss no matter how much you do this.

Ming Xiao- much like Strauss it depends on the situation. Don't do this ever in public, but do it all the time in private.

Cain/Cabby- okay, that was sweet, but he's driving right now. Please, don't make him crash.

how do you think the characters would react to a fledgling with psychosis who isnt malkavian?

[My apologies for taking so long with this. I felt like I needed to be sure I understood psychosis at least on a basic level before I tried writing it. As always, if I put something incorrect or offensive, please let me know so that I may correct it.]

Camarilla

Therese- She's one of the one's that understands the most, honestly. While she doesn't have psychosis herself, she's dealt with mental illnesses of her own her whole life. Will be very gentle(almost uncharacteristically so) with her reminders like, "Could you please explain?" or "Did you remember to brush your hair today?" and the like.

LaCroix- He sadly has a low tolerance for people that are not totally "normal" with their mental health. He won't care why you're not doing your tasks as well as you were previously. He'll keep pushing you to act like there's nothing wrong, and this can make things worse if he's really insistent on it. There are times when the Sheriff might have to intervene. When it reaches that point, LaCroix knows he's definitely gone too far.

The Sheriff- He might not have any mental illnesses himself, but he knows the impact they can have. He might get frustrated when he can't figure out what conversation you claimed to have had with him, as he hasn't spoken to you in two days or of other things like that occur. But, once he's knows you have psychosis he'll at least try to be understanding.

Strauss- He is very understanding of almost everything, except for the lack of attention. Not that he holds anything personal against you, or things you're doing so on purpose; it's just something that he has a difficult time handling. But, he reminds himself that it's just how you are, and mostly manages to catch himself before he says anything.

Nosferatu

Imalia- She's one of the first ones to ask if you're Malkavian. And, she can't get it in her head that you're not. She's also prone to ask or remark things that aren't very true to real life. Not that she's trying to insult you; there's just a whole lot of ingrained bigotry that she's got to work through.

Mitnick- He's actually one of the other ones that at least somewhat understands what you're going through, because he actually took the time to look into it.

Barabbas- He's also inclined to think that you're were Malk when he first meets you. However, he's quick to correct himself. He's the one you can go to if you need to talk through a situation that you're having difficulty reading a situation and need to try to talk through it.

Bertram- This is the kind of guy that will make tasteless jokes at your expense. He actually doesn't mean anything about it, but don't let him keep doing it. Tell him off really good once and he'll back off.

Gary- He's actually pretty understanding, after awhile that is. He's from a time when it was actually dangerous to talk about mental health, and went into hiding because of being a Nosferatu. He's also someone that will try to remind you of things that you might have forgotten to do or are confused on, albeit in a more blunt tone than Therese.

Anarchs

Jeanette- she is the one that you can most easily go to. She's like Therese, but more open with her feelings making talking about things a bit easier. She also very vocal about you not being a Malk as people assuming so just because you have a mental illness is a harmful stigma about the both of you.

Damsel- She's also one of the people that assumes that you are Malk. She's very understanding of you, but also just forgets you have it as she like most people think that if you have a mental illness then you have to show the symptoms all the time. There be a lot of, "What are you talking about?! Oh, wait, okay."

Skelter- He would think that you were hiding something form the rest of them because you suddenly disappeared for a few days. When you come back around he'll confront you about it. When he finds out you have psychosis and just want to be alone some times, he'll drop it. He's a bit more careful not to assume things about you in the future.

Jack- Wait, you're not Malkavian? Sure, he's heard if people having this sort of thing, but he's never met anyone who has something like this(he has he just wasn't paying attention.) Are you sure you're not Malk?? He just can't get over this.

Nines- He's glad that people are finally the point where they can talk about these sort of things. When he was younger between people not having enough money to go to a doctor, or being too afraid of what a doctor might do to you if they found out you were anything but mentally perfect, mental illness was something that no one talked about. He's very level headed, so he someone that will de-escalate a situation that's been misread or work through if something actually happened or not without treating you poorly.

Independents

Vivi- She's a very gentle soul, and will always be someone you can talk to. She's big on making sire you're taking care of yourself. Partially because she cares for you, and partially because a kindred that hasn't eaten in a few days is a very dangerous thing.

Ash- He has a lot of people go through his club. He's seen a few other people with psychosis, actually. Doesn't feel strongly about you either way.

Isaac- He's a little bit stern with you. Not that he doesn't care about you dealing with the symptoms of your psychosis, but he things that having things extremely structured will help. Good intentioned, but misinformed.

Beckett- He had no problems understanding what you were saying to him. His old friend Antole actually struggled with something similar(he's not sure if it was actually psychosis or not as mental health sadly is only really being accepted and understood recently.) He was around enough to tell the difference between natural mental illness and the Malkavian blood curse. He'll just listen to whatever you say to him and proceed in kind.

Other

Andrei- Seeing as Sabbat have a tendency to not only embrace many at a time, but also to find those that tend to isolate themselves form others, there's been plenty of them that are people that struggle with mental illness of all kinds. Andrei has met many others like you and supposes he'll meet many more over the course of his un-life. His only concern is that you pay attention, even though it can be difficult for you at times. Not knowing what's going on can be pretty dangerous around the Sabbat.

Ming Xiao- She's a very learned woman, and would see what was happening very quickly. She also knows that just because you function differently than other people doesn't mean that you are not useful. She has no problem working with you as long as you stay respectful and do as she says.

Pisha- She might be confused for a bit, but when she finds out what's going on she's fine with it. Has to remind you that she does not have a phone, so she didn't call you yesterday, or that no, the Camarilla might not be the best people, but no, they are not following you everywhere. Even they have their limits. If you are getting nervous about things she'll always be there to listen and help talk you though it.

Cain/the cabby- He's been asleep for like a really, really long time. When you first tell him you have psychosis he has no idea what you're talking about. But, when you explain what that is, he knows exactly what it is. You don't hand around from basically the beginning of time and not meet people with mental illness. He's totally fine with learning how you prefer to handle things, and actually remembers what makes things easier for you.

[This was a request made over on the discord. Feel free to head over there if you want to talk or whatever. It's been lots of fun so far. Also this is based on the idea of "looks like a cinnamon roll, but could actually kill you."]

Camarilla

Therese- Not really surprised as she's with Jeanette who is basically the embodiment of this feeling.

LaCroix- This is actually good. He can use this. What better than having one bodyguard? Two bodyguards! One of which is a surprise bodyguard.

The Sheriff- Doesn't really know how to react. Very caught off guard. How can someone so small be so angry?

Strauss- Well, that's certainly surprising. Was thinking about teaching you Blood Boil, but now thinks that might be a poor decision on his part.

Nosferatu

Imalia- You just went from a bother to awesome in like two minutes! Let's go mess things up!

Mitnick- Oh, wow. That, uh, came out of no where. Please, don't hurt him.

Barabbas- Was about to fight off a bunch of thugs for you when suddenly the opposite happened. Thrown for a loop at first, but absolutely loves it.

Bertram- Look at that, the cupcake is laced with razor blade. Cute and deadly? It's the best of both worlds!

Gary- Way to go, boss. You've actually surprised him, and that's not easy to do.

Anarchs

Vivi- Hey, would you mind walking her home from work? She'd really appreciate it, and also wants to have time with you because she thinks you're like the coolest person ever now.

Ash- Excuse you?! What the hell was that!? Sure, it was awesome the way you handled those hunters, but where did that come from?

Isaac- It looks like he underestimated you... a whole lot. Perhaps you're a more valuable ally than he thought.

Beckett- Well, color him impressed. He never would have thought you could do something like that. It just goes to show that no one is as they seem, no matter how well you think you know them.

Other

Andrei- Not phased in the slightest; okay, maybe a little bit, but not for long. He's from the Sabbat, and more importantly the Tzimisce. Everyone he's ever known has the possibility to kill you at the drop of a hat.

Pisha- We all become what we have to when the time calls for it, she supposes. That's doesn't stop her from being shocked when she sees you violent though; she almost forgets until she sees it again.

Ming Xiao- You would make the perfect assassin with the right training! No one would suspect you at all.

Cain/ the cabbie- Look, he's been around for quite some time, and has met plenty of people like you. That being said, you're slightly scary and please don't hurt him(you probably couldn't anyways).
