[CONFEDERACY] Khar'Shan receives surprise visit from long lost Hegemony ship
via Confederacy Broadcast Conglomerate Strong feelings of nostalgia and wariness both in batarian space today, as it’s reported that a long-range cruiser from the Hegemony Navy has returned to Khar'Shan, to the surprise of all parties present. The ship, name as yet unrevealed, had departed known space in 2185 before the Vular Incursion and the war, on a deep space survey mission for the now-defunct Hegemony. It was intercepted by a contingent of the Confederate fleet present in Harsa system, before a landfall could be attempted by the explorer cruiser's crew. A tense and confused standoff ensued, which was fortunately defused by civilian intermediaries from planetside. The returning ship's crew was given a brief summation of the past six years, and are now considering what they shall do in 2193 and the years to follow. The ship's captain, disappointed with the dissolution of his employer, commented thusly: "Seeing the current degradation of batariankind, I'm half-tempted to go on another six-year mission to exploit strange new worlds, to subjugate new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no batarian has gone before!"
