In their long history, the Vulcans never had a form of entertainment like horror movies or television programs. Horror comedies are an almost uniquely Terran thing, although the Klingons and several other cultures had something like them. The Addams Family television series and movies of 20th Century Earth, inspired by the cartoons of Charles Addams, centered on the strange characters in a unique family. Vulcans find it hard to understand the Terran horror and comedy genres, and have an extremely difficult time undertanding the off-beat or dark humor in these works, despite years of studying them.
