i understand people disliking later (like. post-millenium) series depicting vulcans broadly in a negative light especially in ways that contradict IDIC and there are definitely moments i think go too far but i'm not too bothered by it 🤷 like tos does show them as an influential and conservative (see 'wife as property' dynamics in amok time and babel) culture and generally speaking people espousing an ideal and not reflecting it in their actions is like.... extremely common. idk
