I have so much to be thankful for this past year.
First of all, I moved to the United States during March. It was a big change for me and it was with some anticipation and nervousness that I accepted such a change in my life. Having no friends at that time made me feel homesick and just sad, in general.
There have been pros and cons, yes, but looking back, there were more pros than cons. I was given the opportunity to experience a different culture altogether. It can be overwhelming at times but so far so great.
I met new friends (irl and in tumblr) that I feel so grateful for. I wasn't that big of a Star Trek fan when the 2009 movie came out but I did become addicted a fan when STID came out.
The people I have met in the Star Trek fandom over here have been nothing but nice and welcoming to me and for that, I am immensely grateful. That being said, thanks to Star Trek, I met some really cool people that I bonded with over skype, livestreams, cah.
You guys are really rad!
